In 1 ml of the drug Bactavit
picloxidine dihydrochloride * 0.5 mg,
which corresponds to the content of picloxidine 0.434 mg
* A 5% excess of picloxidine dihydrochloride is allowed in the preparation.
Excipients: dextrose (glucose) anhydrous - 50 mg, polysorbate 80 - 0.25 mg, purified water - up to 1 ml.

pharmachologic effect of Bactavit
Antiseptic for use in ophthalmology, a derivative of biguanides. Pikloksidin is active against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, chlamydia, some viruses and fungi.
Indications
Infectious conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis, including infection caused by chlamydia.
Dosing regimen
Pikloksidin applied locally 2-6 times / day. Duration of treatment is no more than 10 days.
Side effects
When taking Bactavit are possible: local irritation, hypersensitivity reactions.
Contraindications for use
Hypersensitivity to piclositidine.
special instructions
If, along with picloxidine, other medications are used in eye drops, the interval between instillations should be at least 15 minutes.
