The solution of Vicasol is packaged in ampoules, with a nominal volume of 1 ml, and then placed in contour cells of 5 pcs. in each. In one carton package, as a rule, there are 2 cells with ampoules.

pharmachologic effect

Vicasol is an analogue of fat-soluble vitamin K of synthetic origin. By its mechanism of action, the drug belongs to the group of hemostatic drugs, i.e. hemostatics, as well as coagulants.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

On the question "from what tablets Vicasol used by physicians?" You can answer as follows - the drug is involved in the synthesis of proconvertin and prothrombin, thereby enhancing the coagulability of the blood. Tablets, as well as intramuscular injections of this drug, contribute to enhancing the development of factors of hemocoagulation (II, VII, IX and X species).
With a lack of vitamin K in the human body, increased bleeding increases, which can lead to serious and sometimes fatal consequences. Vicasol has hemostatic properties, which appear after a maximum of 18 hours from the time of application of the drug.

Indications for use of Vicasol

The main indications for the use of Vicasol are: hemorrhagic syndrome caused by hypoprothrombinemia, bleeding due to wounds, surgical intervention or trauma, vitamin K hypovitaminosis, including jaundice and prolonged diarrhea, as well as cirrhosis and hepatitis.
As part of complex therapy, this drug effectively copes with menorrhagia and uterine bleeding, hemorrhagic disease in newborns. In addition, the drug is used in overdose with drugs that are related to vitamin K antagonists, for example, Phenylin or Neodicumarin.
Often doctors recommend their patients to take Vicasol tablets with menstruation. In free Internet sources, you can meet many positive responses from women about the effectiveness of this drug. However, gynecologists do not recommend self-medication and "prescribe" this drug to themselves without prior consultation and medical examination.
Since the drug belongs to hemostatics, Vicasol with monthly reduces the abundance of secretions. True, not all patients manage to get an equally stable result when using the drug. Therefore, only a doctor can prescribe this medicine, and also answer the question of how to take the monthly Wicasol correctly so as not to harm your health.

The drug is contraindicated in the use of: hypersensitivity, thromboembolism, with increased blood clotting, in the presence of newborns hemolytic disease. With extreme caution should be used Vicasol during pregnancy, with a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, as well as with liver failure.
