Composition

Each tablet (0.25 g) contains skimmed milk powder, iodokein (Ca + iodide single-walled stearate) and lactose monohydrate.

Form of issue

The medication is manufactured by the manufacturer in tablet form. In each blister is 10 tablets. The cardboard pack contains instructions from the manufacturer and 4, 8 or 20 blisters with tablets.

pharmachologic effect

Biologically active additive is designed to fill the deficiency of trace element I. In case of iodine deficiency, the active ingredient of the medicine is actively assimilated, and with an excess of the microelement it is excreted without getting into the thyroid gland. This separation is ensured by the ability of the microelement I to split off from the milk protein under the influence of liver enzymes produced during iodine deficiency. With a sufficient amount of a microelement, specific enzymes are not produced, and the active substance of dietary supplements is not absorbed into the bloodstream, but is eliminated naturally.
Microelement I is necessary for the production of thyroid hormones, which take an active part in the regulation of metabolic processes (the exchange of fats, proteins and carbohydrates), in the work of the cardiovascular system, the nervous system, milk and sex glands affecting the development and growth of the child.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The data of the section is not described by the manufacturer.

    reduction of the risk of development of pathologies associated with deficiency of trace element I;
    replenishment of micronutrient deficiency I.

Contraindications

Iod-Activ is not prescribed for individual hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Rarely are allergic responses detected in predisposed individuals.
Instructions for use Iod-Activ (Method and dosage)
Tablets are taken per os, preferably with meals.
Instruction on Iod-Activ for children from 14 years and adult patients: 1 time per day for 1-2 tablets.

Overdose

Long-term use of high dosages of I-containing drugs may lead to the development of iodine-induced hyperthyroidism. In single cases, large dosages of a microelement (more than 1000 micrograms per day) can provoke the development of hypothyroidism or goiter. The clinical picture consists of the following symptoms:
    diarrhea;
    reflex vomiting;
    staining the mucous membranes in a dark, brown color;
    pain in epigastrium.
Therapy is aimed at washing the stomach with a specially prepared solution consisting of protein, starch or a solution of Na thiosulfate at a concentration of 5%. Posindromnaya therapy is aimed at restoring the electrolyte and water balance; if necessary, anti-shock measures are taken.
In chronic intoxication, it is recommended that I-containing drug is discontinued.
Therapy of I-induced hypothyroidism: the appointment of thyroid hormones in order to stabilize the metabolism.
Therapy of I-induced thyrotoxicosis: special thyrostatic therapy; soft forms of special treatment do not require. In thyrotoxic crisis, intensive treatment, thyroidectomy and plasmapheresis are carried out.

Interaction

I-containing medications are not recommended for prescribing during tablets.

special instructions

What is better than Iodomarin or Iod-Activ?

Iodomarin is a medicinal product, and Iod-Activ is a biologically active additive. The iodine contained in Iodomarine has an inactive form. When it enters the body, it splits into an active organism and becomes capable of entering into metabolic processes.
Iod-Activ contains I with a protein casein, the decay of which occurs only under the influence of a special enzyme, produced with a deficiency of I in the human body.

Children

In pediatrics it is not applied. Admission is possible after reaching 14 years.

Iod-Activ for weight loss

The preparation contains organic I, which is well perceived by the human body due to its incorporation into the milk protein molecule. The human body consumes I of tablets only with its deficiency and exactly as much as necessary for normal functioning. This approach protects patients from iodine overdoses, which are dangerous for the female body, including hormonal failures.
Iod-Activ compensates for the lack of trace element, helping the thyroid gland to burn excess carbohydrates and fats, and also work without "overloads". The dietary supplement is not a means for losing weight, but it perfectly helps in the fight against excess weight due to the normalization of metabolic processes.

In pregnancy and lactation

Iod-Activ contains 50 micrograms of iodine, but is a dietary supplement, not a medicine. The manufacturer claims that only the amount of trace element necessary for the body is absorbed, the rest is deduced. However, BAA did not pass the testing at the required level, which limits its use in pregnancy to prevent deficiency I. Feeding is interrupted during treatment.

Reviews about Iod-Active (reviews of doctors and patients)

Patients note the aftertaste of iodine after taking the pills; there are complaints of frequent palpitations during treatment. In general, the drug is well tolerated and even prescribed during pregnancy. Some patients emphasize the increase in brain activity after treatment.

Iod-Activ, doctor's reviews

Specialists (therapists, endocrinologists, gynecologists) prescribe a drug for preventing iodine deficiency and with diagnosed micronutrient deficiency in the human body. Reviews neutral.
