Keltikan is a complex drug that is prescribed for the recovery of nerve fibers in pathologies of the spine and peripheral nerves.
The preparation is produced in the form of hard gelatin capsules or lyophilizate for the manufacture of solution for injection. The case of capsules is opaque gray, the lid is blue. Inside, they contain a white hygroscopic powder.

Features of composition

As an active substance, the drug contains 2 nucleosides: cytidine and uridine.
In addition to these, the tablets contain the following additional components:
    aerosil 200;
    E572;
    E 330;
    sodium citrate dihydrate;
    mannitol.
The composition of the capsule shell includes the following substances:
    gelatin;
    ferric oxide black pigment;
    titanium white;
    E 132.
Each package contains 30 capsules. The lyophilizate is a white powder, it contains mannitol as auxiliary substances. As a solvent in the kit is saline.
Each package contains 3 ampules of powder and solvent.

Pharmacological profile

When peripheral nerves are damaged, for example, when squeezing or jamming, and also because of any pathological processes taking place in the body (inflammation of the roots of the spinal nerves, diabetes mellitus), unpleasant sensations and pain can be observed.
The human body itself can repair damaged nerve fibers, but this takes a long time. When nucleotides are introduced from the outside, the process of nerve regeneration is accelerated.
Against the background of therapy in the body, the content of phosphate groups, which are required for binding simple carbohydrates to keramines, increases. Nervous shells are formed from them. They are also necessary for the connection of monosaccharides with phosphatidic acids, which are part of sphingomyelin and glycerophospholipids.
They are the main components of the myelin sheath, the thicker it is, the better the nerve impulses are transmitted.
As a result, the inflammatory process is stopped. Axons recover faster, their sensitivity is normalized.
The composition of the drug includes two nucleotides - cytidine monophosphate and uridine triphosphate, the same as synthesized in the body, so it is not possible to find out the pharmacokinetics of the active substances.
