Gentianae) 714 mg, seeds of nutmeg (Sem. Myristicae) 71 mg , orange peel (Pericarp Aurantii) 714 mg, cinnamon tree bark (Cort. Cinnamomi) 321 mg, cassia flowers (Flor. Klosterfrau MELISANA, indications for use

Inside:
    anxiety;
    sleep disorders;
    headache;
    gastrointestinal disorders associated with neurotic disorders (flatulence, feeling of heaviness in the stomach);
    colds.
Outwardly:
    lumbago;
    sciatica;
    myalgia after exercise;
    gingivitis;
    asthenia.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity.
When taken orally:
    stomach ulcer and duodenal ulcer;
    ulcerative colitis;
    liver disease;
    children's age up to 18 years.
At external use: children's age up to 12 years.

Dosage and administration

For ingestion, 5-15 ml of the concentrate Melisana is diluted in double the amount of liquid (water, juice, tea, etc.).
When nervousness, gastrointestinal disturbances: 5-10 ml before a meal; with colds: at the first sign - 10 ml 3 times a day; for violations of sleep before bedtime: 10-15 ml with hot tea, hot water, sugar or honey.
Outwardly, undiluted, as a rubbing (for sensitive skin diluted with double the amount of water). Rubbed into a painful place until complete evaporation of the drug.
When gum inflammation: 5 ml diluted with 10 ml of water and rinse the sore side of the mouth for 2-3 minutes; for prolonged treatment, a cotton swab soaked in diluted solution is placed on the affected area.
When asthenia: without diluting, rub into the temporal region, rub the forehead or inhale the vapors, soaking the handkerchief with concentrate.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Melisana is contraindicated in pregnancy. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.

Interaction

The action of benzodiazepines can be enhanced. Simultaneous use of alcohol and phenytoin, tolbutamide, warfarin, or meprobamate may cause a decrease in the half-life of these drugs.
Taking high doses of Klosterfrau Melisana along with other medications may affect the pharmacokinetics of these drugs.

Overdose

When Melisana used internally, the development of known side effects of alcohol is possible.
For external use - prolonged use (compresses with undiluted product) can cause damage to the skin.
Treatment: symptomatic.
