Characteristic

Dill odorous fruits contain essential and fatty oils, flavonoids, carotene and other biologically active substances.

Description

Semi-fruit length 3-7 mm, width 1.5-4 mm, oval, slightly convex on the dorsal side and flat - on the inside; each half-fruit with three filiform spinal ribs and two flat pterygoid lateral ribs. The color of the half-fruit is light brown, brownish-gray or brown, sometimes with a green tinge, with lighter dorsal fins and brownish-white, sometimes with a green tinge-edge ribs. The smell is strong, fragrant. The taste of the water extract is sweetish-spicy, somewhat burning.

Pharmacotherapeutic group

Spasmolytic agent of plant origin.

pharmachologic effect

Infusion of dill fragrant fruits has spasmolytic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory, hypotensive, choleretic and carminative action, contributes to the production of milk from nursing mothers.

Indications for use

Spasms of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, flatulence, constipation, inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (in complex therapy).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
With care - arterial hypotension.

Dosing and Administration of Dill Fruit

About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of fragrant dill fruit are placed in enameled pots, poured into 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid, heated in a boiling water bath with periodic stirring for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
Take inside in a warm form for 1/3 cup 3-4 times a day.
