The drug Derinat is an immunomodulating agent that increases the protective functions of the body, restores the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx after the transferred diseases, accelerates the healing process and prevents the spread of the viral infection to the lower respiratory tract.

Dosing and Administration

A 0.25% Derinat solution for instillation into the nasal passages can be used to treat children from the first days of life. According to the instructions for the prevention of acute respiratory infections in contact with a sick person, the patient is instilled with 2 drops of the drug in each nasal passage 2-3 times a day. The duration of the course of preventive treatment is from 5 to 14 days.
When the first symptoms of cold and rhinitis appear, the drug is instilled in each nasal passage of 1-2 drops every 2 hours on the first day, starting from the second day of therapy, the drug can be digested up to 4 times a day at regular intervals. The duration of the course of therapy with the drug is 2 weeks.
If inflammatory processes are detected in the paranasal sinuses or when the infection spreads to the middle ear with nasal drops, Derinat is impregnated with a cotton swab and gently injected into the nasal or auditory throats 1-2 hours 3-5 times a day. The duration of the course of therapy is 1 month. All this time the patient should be regularly observed at the otolaryngologist, so as not to miss the progression of the disease and take adequate measures in time.

Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation

The drug Derinat in the form of drops for the nose can be used to treat and prevent nasopharyngeal disease in women during pregnancy. The conducted studies did not reveal any negative influence of the active component of the drug on the fetal development of the fetus and the course of pregnancy itself.
Use of the drug in the form of drops in the nose during breastfeeding is possible by indications and for the prevention. This woman does not need to interrupt lactation.

Adverse Events
