pharmachologic effect

Means of plant origin. The herb of Echinacea purpurea contains water-soluble immunostimulating polysaccharides (4-O-methylglucuronyl arabinoxylans, acid arabinoramino-galactans); essential oils (components include germacrene alcohol, borneol, bornilacetate, pentadeca-8-en-2-one, germacrene D, karyophylline, caryophylline epoxide); flavonoids (ferulic acid derivatives thereof, including chicory acid, chicorylic acid methyl ester, 2-O-caffeoyl-3-O-feruloyl-tartaric acid, 2,3-O-diferuloyl tartaric acid, 2-O-cupoyl tartaric acid); alkamides; polyenes.
Has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory effects. Polysaccharides increase the phagocytic activity of neutrophils and macrophages and stimulate interleukin-1 production. The complex of active substances induces the transformation of B-lymphocytes into plasma cells, improves the function of T-helpers. Thanks to inulin, levulose, betaine improves metabolic processes, especially in the liver and kidneys.
