pharmachologic effect

Spray Prevalin Kids allows you to reduce the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. The agent does not affect the receptors, the effect is realized by creating a barrier and preventing contact of allergens with the nasal mucosa.
Due to the special composition, the spray easily passes from the liquid state (in the vial) to the gel state (on the nasal mucosa). The created barrier is considered impenetrable for allergens, as a result of which the product has a preventive effect and only slightly reduces the symptoms of an already developed allergic reaction. If the allergic reaction has already begun, Prevalen Kids lowers the adhesion of allergens and, accordingly, their effect.
The result of Prevalin Kids is proven on models of hay fever and allergic rhinitis (reduction of itching, lachrymation, sneezing and nasal congestion).

Indications for use

- Prevention of allergic rhinitis and hay fever (with nasal route of penetration of allergens) in children 6-12 years.
- Complex treatment of allergic rhinitis (against the background of antihistamines with an already developed reaction) in children of the specified age.

Mode of application

Prevalin Kids is administered intranasally. Children 6-12 years of age should be administered under the supervision of adults.
Dosage: 1-2 sprays up to 3 times a day in each nasal passage.
The average duration of the effect after 1 spraying is 4-6 hours.

Using Prevalin Kids:

1. Clean the nasal passages (the child can help to clean the nasal passages with the help of special saline solutions).
2. Shake the bottle vigorously in a vertical direction, holding the device up with the cap first, then pushing the cap down.
3. Remove the protective cap.
4. Check the spraying accuracy by making a few clicks on the applicator.
5. Ask the child to tilt the head slightly forward, gently insert the applicator into the nasal cavity and spray. Repeat for the second nasal passage.
6. Ask the child to tilt the head slightly back and inhale through the nose.

Side effects

Some time after spraying, there is probably a feeling of discomfort and some stuffiness of the nose, which pass by itself. If discomfort is severe or does not occur within 60 minutes, it may be necessary to cancel Prevalin Kids.
Ingredients Prevalin Kids are inert and do not lead to the development of systemic side effects and irritation of the nasal mucosa.

Contraindications

- Individual intolerance.
- Age to 6 years.

Interaction with other drugs

With the simultaneous use of several intranasal drugs Prevalin is used last.

Storage conditions

- The air temperature is not higher than 25 degrees Celsius and not lower than 15.
- Impossibility of children's access to the storage place of the spray.
The expiration date is stamped on the pack. After the beginning of the application Prevalin Kids should be stored no more than 90 days.
