VitA-POS - eye ointment with lubricating, keratoprotective properties. It is used in ophthalmology to improve the condition of tear film, which protects the cornea from drying out. Quickly removes the symptoms of discomfort and eye irritation: dryness, burning, sensation of the presence of a foreign body.

Composition and form of release

VitA-POS - eye ointment, sterile oily, contains:
    The main substance: vitamin A palmitate - 250 ME;
    Additional substances: white petrolatum, lanolin, paraffin liquid, paraffin liquid light.
Packaging. Aluminum tubes for 5g in a pack of cardboard.

Pharmacological properties

Vitamin A, as part of the VitA-POS, is a natural element of the tear film. It gives the product an oily, gentle consistency that provides good mixing with natural tear fluid and excellent drug tolerance.
VitA-POS is gently and evenly distributed over the surface of the eyeball and for a long time retaining there, it helps to improve the components of the tear film, reliably protecting the cornea from drying out.
The use of VitA-POS ointment promotes rapid disappearance of symptoms of discomfort in the eye: burning, "dryness", sensation of foreign body.

Indications for use

Improvement of the condition of tear film, protection of the eye surface, elimination of discomfort with dryness, sensation of foreign body, burning, including those caused by: external factors (conditioned air, wind, cold, cigarette smoke, intense sunlight, city smog), intensive visual load (prolonged work at the computer and other monitors, excessive pastime in front of the TV, the need to drive vehicles in the dark), prolonged wearing of contact lenses.

Dosing and Administration of VitA-POS

It is recommended to lay a column of ointment approximately 1cm conjunctivally 1-3 times daily, focusing on your own feelings, according to the recommendations of an ophthalmologist. Duration of use is not limited. The effectiveness of the drug is especially high when laying ointment before bedtime.
To apply the drug, you need to tilt your head back, pull the lower eyelid and squeeze out a column of ointment into the conjunctival sac, gently pressing on the tube. After that, slowly close your eyelids.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance.

    Temporary blurring of vision immediately after application of the agent.
    The occurrence of allergic reactions in individuals with an individual intolerance of the constituents of the drug.

Drug Interactions

VitA-POS is not recommended to be combined with other local ophthalmologic agents. But if the combination can not be avoided, it is necessary to make an interval between their insertions of at least 30 minutes.

special instructions

VitA-POS ointment can not be used with contact lenses. Users of lenses are better to apply the drug at night after removing the correction means.
Do not touch the tip of the tube to the surface of the conjunctiva or eyeball, do not break or fold the tube. After applying the product, carefully cap the cap.
After applying the VitA-POS ointment, temporary clouding of vision occurs. At this time, you should not drive or work with moving machinery.
VitA-POS is stored at room temperature. Protect from children.
Shelf life - 3 years from the date of issue. After opening the tube, the drug is suitable for no more than 12 weeks.
