Form of issue

White vaginal suppositories torpedo-shaped, possible marbling of the surface.
5 suppositories in a contoured package; one or two packages in a cardboard bundle.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Lactic acid - a product of the vital activity of bacteria (lactic acid) of the vagina, provides acidity of the vaginal secretion in the range of 3.6-4.5. Candles with lactic acid help restore and maintain acidity and microflora of the vagina, inhibit the growth of acid-sensitive pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora.
Lactic acid can create an acid reserve to change the acidity shift to the alkaline side, which is observed in infections. This contributes to the strengthening of natural protection against genital infectious diseases.

Indications for use

Treatment of impaired microflora and changes in the acidity of the vagina, including bacterial vaginosis (as a component of complex therapy).

Contraindications

    Pregnancy and lactation.
    Candidiasis vulvovaginitis.
    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
    Age to 18 years.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions: itching, burning in the vagina, disappearing after the withdrawal of the drug.

Instructions for use of suppositories Femilex (Method and dosage)

Instructions for use Femilex prescribes the use of candles intravaginally. Before use, they are exempt from packaging. One candle is injected into the vagina once a day in the patient's horizontal position on the back with slightly bent legs.
The standard course of treatment is usually 10 days.

There are no data on cases of drug overdose.
