Auxiliary substances: polyethylene oxide base (polyethylene oxide 1500, polyethylene oxide 400).

pharmachologic effect
Antiseptic preparation for local intravaginal use.
Active in relation to:
Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria: Treponema pallidum, Chlamydia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis.
The simplest: Trichomonas vaginalis.
Viruses: Herpes simplex types 1 and 2.
Hexicon D does not violate the functional activity of lactobacilli.
Remains active (although somewhat reduced) in the presence of blood, pus.
Hexicon D, indications for use
Treatment of colpitis (including non-specific, mixed, gonorrheal, trichomonas).
Treatment of bacterial vaginosis.
Prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis).
Prevention of infectious and inflammatory complications in pediatric gynecology (before surgical treatment of gynecological diseases).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage and administration
Apply intravaginally.
Before use, the suppository is released from the contour packaging.
For the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases: 1 dose is prescribed once. The drug should be used no later than 2 hours after intercourse. For treatment prescribed 1 soup. 2 times / day. within 7-10 days. If necessary, prolongation of therapy up to 20 days is possible.
Use during pregnancy and lactation

Interaction
Hexicon is incompatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) and soaps. The presence of soap can inactivate chlorhexidine, therefore, before using the drug, soap residues must be thoroughly washed off.
Overdose
