Form of formulation and composition of the preparation
The drug Donormyl is available in the form of tablets for oral administration and in the form of effervescent tablets for solutions in water.
Tablets for oral use are available in tubes of 30 pieces, covered with a protective film shell.
Effervescent tablets of large size, round, packed in tubes of 10 pieces in a cardboard box with the attached instructions. The pack contains 2 tubes of 10 tablets.
The main active ingredient of the drug Donormyl is doxylamine succinate - 15 mg in 1 tablet. Also in the composition of the preparation are auxiliary components: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.
Pharmacological properties of the drug
Donormyl belongs to the group of H1-histamine receptor blockers. Upon admission, they enter into an active substance, which can be absorbed into the systemic bloodstream through the mucous membranes of the food canal and exerts a pronounced hypnotic, sedative and m-holin-blocking effect. The drug normalizes night sleep, shortens the duration of sleep, improves sleep quality. The therapeutic effect develops after 15 hours. After awakening, the patient does not feel lethargic and tired, as is often the case with the use of sleeping pills.
Indications for use
Donormyl tablets appoint patients 14 years old to solve problems with falling asleep of various origins.
Contraindications
Before starting therapy with the drug, the patient should read the attached instructions in detail, since the medicine has the following contraindications and limitations to use:
Individual intolerance to the components of the product;
Lactase insufficiency;
Closed-angle glaucoma;
Impaired renal function, in particular, urinary retention;
Age to 14 years.
With special care, Donormyl tablets are administered to patients under the following conditions:
The history of respiratory arrest in sleep;

Method of administration and trial preparation
