Farmgroup: Antiviral.
Pharmacological action: Active substance of the preparation Triazavirin is a synthetic analogue of the bases of purine nucleosides (guanine) with a pronounced antiviral effect. Has a wide spectrum of antiviral activity against RNA-containing viruses.
The main mechanism of action of the drug Triazavirin is the inhibition of the synthesis of viral RNA and the replication of genomic fragments.
Pharmacokinetics: After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration (Сmах) is reached on the average in 1-1,5 hours. Contraindications

Dosing and Administration
Triazavirin is administered internally regardless of the intake of food.
Therapeutic doses:
Reception of the drug should begin no later than 2 days after the onset of the disease (the appearance of clinical symptoms) 1 capsule (250 mg) 3 times a day (daily dose 750 mg) for 5 days.
If necessary, treatment can be continued up to 7 days.
Application in pregnancy and lactation
The use of triazavirin during pregnancy has not been studied.
