pharmachologic effect

The drug has anti-inflammatory and anti-seborrheic abilities, and also has a regenerating effect on the skin.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Due to the presence of isotretinoin in the drug, Acnecutan improves the clinical picture in severe forms of acne, which are not amenable to other types of therapeutic treatment. Although the exact mechanism of action of the active drug compound is not fully understood, the drug helps to suppress the activity of the sebaceous glands.
Since sebum is the best medium for the development of harmful bacteria Propionibacterium acnes, which cause the formation of acne, a reduction in the size of the sebaceous glands and a decrease in their activity leads to a slowing of the bacterial colonization of the duct.
Acnecutan acts on acne, suppressing the proliferation of sebocytes, thus restoring the process of cell differentiation, while stimulating regeneration. Isotretinoin, contained in the drug, has an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.
