Pharmacodynamics

Adaklin cream is intended for the treatment of acne. The active substance adapalen is a retinoid metabolite. It has anti-inflammatory and comedonolytic effect, normalizes the keratinization of the epidermis by its differentiation.
The mechanism of action is explained by the interaction with the γ-receptors of skin cells and the binding of these receptors. As a result, the production of fat is normalized, the duct obstruction and the formation of comedones are prevented. Promotes loosening of the epithelium near the comedones, and this improves their emptying. Simultaneously stimulates the mitotic activity of the skin. Selectivity of binding only to nuclear γ-receptors provides better tolerability in comparison with tretinoin.

Reviews about Adaklin (Adaclean cream)

At the 20th World Congress on Dermatology in 2002, recommendations for the treatment of acne were developed, where the first choice drugs are typical retinoids. The most promising are drugs with the active substance adapalene. It is a synthetic third generation retinoid that has the properties of retinoids and simultaneously has an anti-inflammatory effect. It has good tolerability and high efficiency in papulo-pustular acne.
Reviews about Adaklin from acne are mostly positive. However, many expect a quick result and are disappointed in the drug without reaching it. With what and negative feedback about the cream. Of the deficiencies, patients report prolonged treatment. It is important to emphasize that a lasting positive effect is possible only with constant use for four to six months. But even after that, you need to apply the cream in a supportive regime (for example, 2 times a week) for several months and even years.
"... Settled for long-term treatment and applied long Adaklin, instructions for use also indicates the need for continued treatment. I finished the business to the end and won. "
"... Expected a quick effect, but a significant improvement was only after 2.5-3 months."
"... I did not have the patience to be fully cured. Including because of the cost of this money. "
"... The effect is certainly there: acne appears rarely, and appear quickly. The closed comedos disappeared. "
"... There are no scars and spots on the spot of acne - that's for sure, checked. And this is already good. "
"... I liked the use of the antibiotic Clindamycin more. It is possible to buy or apply Clenzite C cream immediately. "
"... I was causing severe dryness, peeling, which intensified in the sun. I did not start treatment at that time and did not finish it. "
The specificity of the preparation is the appearance of skin peeling in 3-7 days, it is usually not accompanied by irritation and passes through two weeks on its own. With active peeling, moisturizing cosmetics are used. In reviews, there are often reports of skin flaking. In some, it was so pronounced that it was necessary to temporarily stop the treatment and even abandon it. With common lesions, the combination of antibiotics taken orally and this cream was effective.
One of the drawbacks of topical retinoids is their undetectable effect on the increased secretion of the sebaceous glands, therefore, in severe forms of acne, systemic retinoids are additionally administered orally. Many drugs contribute to photosensitivity, so their use is possible in the autumn-winter season.
