pharmachologic effect

Ointment Contractubex has the following set of therapeutic properties:
    antiproliferative;
    smoothing;
    softening;
    anti-inflammatory.
Biologically active substances, which are contained in the extract of onions, significantly reduce the release of local inflammatory mediators in the area of application of the gel and slow down, and sometimes completely eliminate allergic manifestations. On the site of keloid scars, due to inhibition of the mitosis process and inhibition of the formation of extracellular matrix substances (mainly proteoglycans), the growth and multiplication of cellular elements decreases, which allows controlling the growth of scar tissue.
Also, the onion has a bactericidal effect on the skin, that is, the potential for infection with a pathogenic or conditionally harmful microflora is eliminated. Thus, the risk of postoperative complications, possible suppuration in the place of a mechanical trauma, an after-burn injury or other skin defects is reduced.
The key property of the heparin sodium salt, through which a chemical compound is actively used in medicine, is its antithrombotic effect on the macro- and microcirculatory bed. However, in dermatology, this biological component is used in view of its antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory effects. That is, such physiological mechanisms are blocked as:
    excessive multiplication of cellular and tissue structures of connective tissue;
    development of puffiness;
    pain syndrome;
    local temperature increase;
    arterial hyperemia in the pathological focus.

Separately it is worth noting that under the influence of heparin, saturation of damaged skin with water improves, which is manifested in softening of collagen-containing components and structures of replacement connective tissue. This therapeutic effect provides a cosmetic appearance of the scar, limited by the height of the skin, its elasticity and the approach to the physical parameters of normal, undamaged skin.
Allantoin, in the first place, accelerates the epithelization of the wound surface, that is, it contributes to its rapid healing, thereby closing the entrance gates to infect infectious agents, and healing is much faster. The keratolytic effect of the active ingredient stimulates the trophic processes, since their entry into places of increased need is facilitated. Also, the biologically active substance has an emollient property, that is, under its influence, itching and discomfort are reduced during tissue scarring.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

In the course of clinical trials it was found that Heparin, one of the active components of the drug, penetrates into the connective tissue within 4 hours in the amount necessary to provide therapeutic effects. The biochemistry of this process is promoted by the extract of bulbs and Allantoin. Systemic absorption in the main bloodstream with topical application of the ointment is not observed.

Instruction on Contractubex (Method and dosage)

The gel is used for external use. The drug is applied to the defect of the skin in a small layer of 0.5 cm and rubbed until completely absorbed. The recommended area of one-stage use of the drug is 20-22 cm, and the frequency of such manipulation should be 2-3 times a day to provide the expected therapeutic effect. With the newly formed scar tissue, the conservative course of treatment is 4 weeks.

Ointment Contractubex, instructions for use

In severely difficult clinical cases, for example, with old scars, high density of connective tissue elements, or with Dupuytren's contracture, it is possible to increase the efficiency of using a pharmaceutical preparation with an occlusive dressing. First it is impregnated with a medicinal ointment and only then it is imposed, it is recommended to do it for the night, as the activity of the reparative processes increases with the predominance of the parasympathetic system. With old or extremely dense scars, the course of conservative sanation should be extended to 6 months, and for a specific type of contracture - and for all 12 months.

Overdose

Cases of drug overdose in the medical literature are not described, if adverse effects of conservative treatment are manifested, immediately consult a doctor or a qualified dermatologist.

Interaction

Ointment Contractubex is fully compatible with other drugs of local and general type of action.

Storage conditions

Gel Contractubex should be stored in a dry, inaccessible to children of younger age category at a temperature of no higher than 25 degrees Celsius.
Shelf life - 4 years.

special instructions

During conservative measures to get rid of scar tissue, which was formed recently, you should avoid ultraviolet irradiation, general or local exposure to cold and intense massage, as this can adversely affect the effectiveness of the drug.

Analogs of Contractubex

Pharmaceutical ointment is not the cheapest in the market for cosmetic products of such an action, therefore the bulk of attempts to replace it with another drug is reduced to the search for less expensive drugs in the form of gels or creams. Of course, for Kontraktubeksa analogues are cheaper, but the evidence of their therapeutic effect does not always reach the required level.
Typically, in such situations, choose one of the following drugs: Aekol, Vinilin, since the price of Contractubex analogs from this list is significantly lower than the original drug.

For children

Contractubex from traces of acne can be used in pediatric practice, since this problem is very common in adolescence, both in girls and boys, and the pharmaceutical preparation is usually tolerated by young skin well. With a short application as a conservative measure to get rid of unpleasant, and sometimes disfiguring, pathological foci, side effects practically do not develop.

With alcohol

The active components of the pharmaceutical preparation are not absorbed into the systemic bloodstream, therefore they do not have the opportunity to interact with the products of the metabolism of alcoholic products.

In pregnancy and lactation

The drug is not absorbed into the regional bloodstream, it can not be spread by the main vessels, therefore it does not have systemic therapeutic or side effects. Accordingly, the external use of ointments during pregnancy does not pose a potential threat to the health of the developing child or to the mother's body.
As a rule, the pharmaceutical preparation is used by young women, as a cream from stretch marks, so common problem of postpartum period. However, clinical studies have proven its low effectiveness in eliminating these skin defects.
When breastfeeding, as in pregnancy, Contractubex ointment is not allowed to be used, but the indications for rational conservative therapy should be consulted by a qualified dermatologist, because there are skin defects, the correction of which is not possible with gels or similar medicines.

Reviews of Contractubex

Reviews about Contractubex amaze with its diversity. There is a category of patients who consider this pure medicinal product to be a swindle of pharmaceutical companies for the purpose of earning wealth. And another group, to whom Contractubex helped in a short time to get rid of unpleasant skin defects. Therefore, the reviews about the medicinal ointment should be approached very critically.
The drug is effective in almost all cases of conservative sanation of residual spots after chickenpox, since they are inflammatory hyperpigmented areas of skin, and not scars, as many people think. The effective components of the Contractubex ointment allow improving local blood circulation and eliminating the signs of the inflammatory process, and, accordingly, removing the consequences of the transferred nosological unit.
Comments on the Contractubex ointment by qualified dermatologists call into question the effectiveness and evidence of the use of this pharmaceutical product. Of course, as a cream for acne in adolescence, the drug does its job well and specialists can even recommend it for everyday use when treating adolescents. However, when talking about scar tissue and methods of its elimination, experts are unanimous in their opinion - no ointment can not get rid of this problem.
Gel from scars after acne or connective tissue formations of other origin has antiproliferative and other useful therapeutic effects, but the already formed tissue can be removed only surgically using traditional methods or by laser operations.
From stains after acne, which do not represent scar tissue, you do not need to get rid of it. They pass by themselves within a week, if the pustule was of small size and not exposed by "handicraft" methods. Otherwise, as in the process of getting rid of scars, the use of Kontraktubeksa is not very effective, although there are single responses that the therapeutic ointment has really helped, but there is no reliable medical evidence after such statements.
Reviews about Contractubex with stretch marks during the postnatal period can not be considered seriously from the point of view of qualified specialists. On histological examination, stretching is a dense connective tissue, which is formed due to a rapid increase in the pregnant belly in size. Accordingly, conservative ways to treat the adverse consequences of bearing a child are ineffective.
A similar situation with scars after caesarean section. Cosmetic appearance of the female stomach can only be given by the surgeon during the operative manipulation with the help of a special technique of matching the edges of the wound and applying an intradermal suture. But this technique requires considerable skills and professional skills, as well as involves certain risks, which makes it possible to apply this type of joints only in certain cases.
Another female problem, when using the medicinal ointment Contractubex, are synechia is a pathological condition that is the coalescence of the labia minora. The origin of this nosological unit is not fully understood. At the moment, among qualified specialists, there is an opinion that such a disease is a consequence of the low level of female sex hormones (estrogens).
With synechia of a mild degree of development of the pathological process, treatment is not necessary, since this age-specific feature of the female organism tends to be resolved independently with the onset of puberty, when biologically active substances increase their concentration several times. If the nosological unit is accompanied by a violation of the outflow of urine or infection of the labia minora, then the use of hormonal drugs based on estrogen is rational. Contractubex is not included in the group of pharmaceutical preparations, and accordingly it turns out to be practically useless for synechia.
