pharmachologic effect

Complex homeopathic preparation. Has a hepatoprotective effect, manifested in a decrease in the severity of cytolysis syndrome and intrahepatic cholestasis, normalizes the motor and evacuation function of the biliary tract, eliminates the symptoms of dyspepsia. Galstena has a choleretic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory effect, prevents the formation of gallstones.

Pharmacokinetics

The effect of the Galstena preparation is the result of the combined effect of its components, therefore it is not possible to carry out kinetic observations; all components can not be traced with the help of markers or bioassays. For the same reason it is impossible to disclose the metabolites of the drug.

Indications

In the complex therapy with:
- Acute and chronic liver diseases (hepatitis, hepatosis);
- diseases of the gallbladder (chronic cholecystitis, postcholecystectomy syndrome);
- chronic pancreatitis.

Contraindications

- alcohol addiction;
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Dosage

In acute and chronic hepatitis, hepatitis, chronic pancreatitis, children under 1 year of age are prescribed 1/2 tablet. or 1 drop, children 1-12 years - 1/2 tab. or 5 drops, adults and adolescents - 1 tab. or 10 drops. Multiplicity of admission - 3 times / day. Duration of treatment - at least 3 months. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after 1 month.
In chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, postcholecystectomy syndrome, children under 12 years of age are prescribed 1/2 table. or 5 drops, adults and adolescents - 1 tab. or 10 drops. Multiplicity of admission - 3 times / day. Duration of treatment - 3 months. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after 1 month.
At the onset of the disease, as well as in cases requiring rapid relaxation of symptoms, it is possible to appoint every 0.5 years to 1 year - 1 drop, children 1-12 years - 5 drops, adults and children over 12 years - 8-10 drops, but no more than 8 times / day. After improving the condition, the drug is prescribed 3 times / day.
The drug takes 30 minutes before or 1 hour after meals (children under 1 year - before or 1 hour after feeding). Drops are taken in pure form or diluted in 1 tablespoon of water. Children under 1 year of age are bred in 1 teaspoon of water or mother's milk. 1/2 tab. also should be dissolved in 1 teaspoon of water or mother's milk and give 1 drop. Before swallowing, it is recommended to hold the drug in your mouth for 20-30 seconds. The tablet should be kept under the tongue until it is completely resorbed.

Side effects

Rarely: increased salivation.
