pharmachologic effect

Complex homeopathic preparation. It has an antiproliferative effect, affects the mechanical component of dysuria in benign prostatic hyperplasia, regulates the tonus of the smooth muscle of the detrusor and the wall of the bladder, increasing its reservoir evacuation function, and affects the dynamic component of dysuria in prostatic hyperplasia. Improves urodynamics and uroflowmetry parameters. Gentos has an anti-inflammatory effect, improves microcirculation in the tissues of the urogenital system. Moderately enhances cavernous blood flow, restores erectile function in chronic prostatitis.

Pharmacokinetics

The action of the Gentos preparation is the result of the combined action of its components, therefore it is not possible to carry out kinetic observations; all components can not be traced with the help of markers or bioassays. For the same reason, it is impossible to detect metabolites of the drug.

Indications

As part of complex therapy:
- for acute and chronic diseases of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis) for alleviating the symptoms of these diseases;
- with diseases of the bladder (cystitis, atony of the bladder).

Contraindications

- Children under 12 years of age (due to inadequate clinical data);
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Dosage

In chronic prostatitis appoint 1 tab. or 10 drops 3 times / day. Duration of treatment - 3 months. When exposed to provoking factors, two-week preventive courses are conducted.
With benign prostatic hyperplasia, appoint 1 tab. or 10 drops 3 times / day. Duration of treatment - 3 months. Then, supportive therapy is prescribed 1-2 times / day, depending on the severity of dysuria.
In acute cystitis, adults and adolescents are prescribed 1 tab. or 10 drops 3 times / day. Duration of treatment is 1-2 weeks.
In chronic cystitis appoint 1 tab. or 10 drops 3 times / day for 3 months. Then, if necessary, they switch to maintenance therapy 1-2 times / day.
In acute urination disorders (frequent urge to urinate, night urination to urinate, incomplete emptying of the bladder), adults and adolescents are prescribed 1 tab. or 10 drops 3 times / day. Duration of treatment - 2 weeks. For chronic disorders, appoint 1 tab. or 10 drops 3 times / day for 3 months. Then, if necessary, they switch to maintenance therapy 1-2 times / day.
At the onset of the disease and in cases requiring rapid relaxation of symptoms, it is possible to take the drug 8-10 drops or 1 tab. every 0.5-1 h, but no more than 8 times / day. After improving the condition, the drug is prescribed 3 times / day.
The drug is taken 30 minutes before or 1 hour after eating. Drops are taken in a pure form or diluted in 1 tablespoon of water, holding some time in the mouth before swallowing. The tablet should be kept under the tongue until it is completely resorbed.
