The drug Immunal is a medicinal product based on herbal components, the therapeutic effect of which is to increase the body's defenses.
Form of formulation and composition of the preparation
The preparation Immunal is available in the form of tablets for oral use in cardboard packs in blisters of 10 or 20 pieces with the attached detailed instructions. Tablets are round, brownish in color with a pronounced smell of vanilla.
The main active ingredient of the drug is the juice of Echinacea herb purple dried. In 1 tablet contains 80 mg of active substance. As auxiliary components are: silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, lactose, flavor, vanillin.
Pharmacological properties of the drug
Immunal in the form of tablets belongs to the group of immunostimulating agents. The main active substance of the drug - the extract of Echinacea purpurea - strengthens the resistance of the organism to viral infections, stimulates protective forces, activates phagocytosis, raises the number of granulocytes in the blood.
The drug is active against viruses of herpes simplex and influenza. This drug can be taken as for treatment of colds, and as prophylactically viral infections in the autumn-winter period.
Indications for use
Immunal tablets are prescribed to patients for the treatment and prevention of the following conditions:
Acute respiratory viral infections;
Herpes simplex virus (on the face);
Strengthening of immunity in weakened people, often with bronchitis and ARVI;
As an adjuvant for long-term antibiotic treatment.
Contraindications

Method of administration and dosage
Tablets Immunal must be taken orally before meals, with plenty of fluids. If necessary, the tablet can be ground or mixed with a spoonful of water.
