The drug Indovasin is a drug for external use with pronounced anti-inflammatory and angioprotective action.

Form of formulation and composition of the preparation

Indovasin is available in the form of a cream and gel for external use in aluminum tubes of 45 g in a cardboard bundle with the attached detailed instructions. The cream has a more dense consistency in contrast to the gel and is prescribed for patients with dry skin.
The main active substance of the drug is indomethacin - 30 mg per 1 g and troxerutin - 20 mg per 1 g. As an auxiliary component, the composition of the drug includes ethanol 96%.

Pharmacological properties of the drug

The drug Indovasin is a complex drug for external use, the main active ingredients of which are indomethacin and troxerutin.
Indomethacin is a substance that exerts a pronounced anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-edematous effect. When the preparation is applied to the skin, the patient's pain decreases, the edema subsides, the regeneration processes are accelerated.
Included in the composition of the drug troxerutin refers to bioflavonoids. This substance belongs to the group of angioprotectors, reduces the permeability of the vascular wall, improves the elasticity of the walls of the vessels, has a pronounced venotonic effect. Under the influence of this component, the fragility of the capillaries decreases, the outflow of blood from the lower extremities improves. At the expressed disturbances of blood circulation the trophic of the damaged tissues improves.
When applying the drug on the surface of the skin, the active ingredients penetrate into its deep layers, reaching the blood vessels. The active substances of the drug reduce the local body temperature and improve the overall condition of the lesion.

Indications for use

Gel or cream Indovasin is prescribed to patients for the treatment of the following pathologies:
    Venous insufficiency, varicose veins, accompanied by a feeling of heaviness in the limbs, edema, stagnant phenomena, sensation of opening the calf muscles;
    Inflammation along the vein;
    Thrombophlebitis, complications of thrombophlebitis;
    Inflammation of the periarticular bag, periarthritis;
    Swelling of the soft tissues arising on the background of surgical interventions, sprains, dislocations, bruises, injuries.

Contraindications

Before starting treatment with gel or cream, Indovasine, the patient should carefully read the attached instructions, since the medicine has a number of the following restrictions:
    Open wound surfaces;
    Third trimester of pregnancy;
    Breastfeeding period;
    Age at children till 14 years;
    Individual intolerance of components included in the composition of the product;
    Violations of the blood coagulation system.

Dosing and Administration
