Form of formulation and composition of the preparation

The drug Dorzopt Plus is available in the form of eye drops in polymer bottles with a dropper on the tip of 5 ml. The vial is placed in a cardboard box with the detailed attached instruction. Drops are a sterile liquid, clear, odorless, color and foreign impurities. The main active components of Dorzopt plus are dorzalamid hydrochloride (20 mg in 1 ml) and timolol maleate 5 mg in 1 ml. As auxiliary components are: citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide solution, purified water, benzalkonium chloride.

Pharmacological properties of the drug

Drops Dorzopt plus are a drug for the treatment of increased intraocular pressure. The drug includes 2 active ingredients - timolol and dorzolamide, whose therapeutic effect is aimed at normalizing the pressure indices inside the eye by reducing the production of intraocular fluid.
Unlike the Dorzopt preparation, drops of Dorzopt Plus are more effective and expressed lowering the intraocular pressure.
Included in the drug Dorzolamide belongs to selective inhibitors of carbonic anhydrase type 2. Timolol is a beta-adrenoblocker, which stimulates the increase in fluid outflow from the eyeball.
