Composition

Pharmacological properties

The protector of the corneal epithelium, has a lubricating and softening effect, has a high viscosity, increases the duration of contact of the solution with the cornea. The refractive index of the solution is similar to natural tears. It restores, stabilizes and reproduces the optical characteristics of the tear film.

Pharmacodynamics

Hypromelose-P has a protective effect against the cornea with reduced secretion of tear fluid, prolongs the duration of the eye drops and protects the cornea from their irritating effect.

Indications for use

Erosions and trophic changes of the cornea, microtraumas of the corneal epithelium, bullous dystrophic changes of the cornea, keratopathy, ectropion, eyelid deformation, lagophthalmus; condition after plastic operations on the eyelids, thermal burns of the cornea and conjunctiva, keratoplasty, keratectomy; replacement therapy with reduced secretion of tear fluid; dry eye syndrome (Sjogren's syndrome), xerosis, keratosis (combination therapy); prolonged action or reduction of the irritating effect of other eye drops.

Contraindications for Hypromelose-P

Hypersensitivity, acute phase of chemical burn (until the complete removal of the chemical and necrotic tissues).

Dosing and Administration

1-2 drops 4-8 times a day in the conjunctival sac (if necessary, you can inject 1-2 drops every hour). The course of treatment with Hypromelose-P is 2-3 weeks.
