Composition
One gram of the eye gel contains 50 mg of active ingredient - dexpanthenol + auxiliary substances (sodium hydroxide, sodium edetate, purified water, carbomer, cetrimide).
Form of issue

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
The gel shows the properties of pantothenic acid, but unlike it, dexpanthenol penetrates faster and deeper into the tissue. Corneregel gel for eyes has anti-inflammatory activity, promotes regeneration of tissues and mucous membranes of the eye. The active substance is fully capable of compensating for the need for damaged tissue in pantothenic acid (in the form of coenzyme A).
Due to its gel dosage form, the drug does not penetrate into the eyeball, the substance does not enter the systemic bloodstream, but it is on the surface of the damaged area for a long time and is not washed off with water.
Indications for use
Corneregel is prescribed for:
damage to the cornea in the form of erosion;
dystrophic diseases of the cornea;
conjunctivitis;
keratitis;
infectious diseases;
burns of different kinds;
for prophylaxis with prolonged wearing of contact lenses.
Contraindications
Allergy to the components of the drug.
Caution should be exercised to people with severe form of kidney failure, pregnant and lactating women.
Side effects

Instructions for the use of Corneregel (Method and dosage)
According to the instructions for Corneregel, it is prescribed 1 drop from 3 to 5 times a day, applied under a conjunctival sac.
If you take other eye drops or other medications, the interval between doses should be at least five minutes. The eye gel should be applied last.
When used to prevent eye damage, with prolonged wearing of lenses, the lenses are removed and put on after 15 minutes before applying the gel.
