pharmachologic effect
Epigen Intim is an antiviral and immunostimulating pharmaceutical preparation based on a natural plant component - glycyrrhizic acid, which is obtained by extraction from the licorice root. The active component of the drug has a complex therapeutic effect, however, first of all, it should be noted its pharmacological effects for the immune system. Glycyrrhizic acid increases the number and activity of T lymphocytes on topical application, induces the formation of interferon, increases the concentration of immunoglobulins A and M, but decreases the concentration of IgG.
The mechanism of antiviral action is based on inhibition of replication in the early stages, which causes the viral virion to emerge from the capsid, preventing its penetration into the cellular structures of the organism. In clinical trials, it has been proven that glycyrrhizic acid inactivates herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, Varicella Zoster virus, cytomegalovirus and some other oncogenic viruses. Also, its effectiveness in relation to mutant strains of viruses, which during their lifetime developed resistance to Acyclovir and Iodoridine.
Gel for intimate hygiene Epigen has antiviral properties that are realized through stimulating effects on the cellular and humoral factors of the immune system. The active biological component significantly inhibits the release of kinins and the formation of prostaglandins by cells of connective tissue in the pathological focus of inflammation. This is the basis for the regenerative effects of the pharmaceutical preparation, manifested in improving the repair of skin and mucous membranes.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
The drug in the form of a spray and gel is intended for topical application. With all the rules of Epigen's operation, glycyrrhizic acid is deposited in pathological foci, where it manifests its therapeutic effects. Absorption in the systemic blood flow is very slow, because the active components in the blood are found only in trace amounts.

Instructions for use (Method and dosage)
Instructions for Epigen spray sex
Intimate spray is for external, intraurethral and intravaginal use. Before use, you should always shake the balloon, so that the drug solution is evenly placed inside the container. Directly in use, the balloon should be kept in an upright position. With external treatment of skin and genital organs, the pharmaceutical preparation is applied to the entire pathological focus from a distance of 4-5 cm in 1-2 clicks, which corresponds to the optimal dosage.
For the introduction of the drug intravaginally (thus using a spray for erosion of the cervix, for example), a special nozzle with a nebulizer that comes with the kit is used. After placing the spray gun on the cylinder instead of the original valve, it should be inserted into the vagina and sprayed with a pharmaceutical spray 1-2 times.
Intraurethral use of spray by men also involves the use of an atomizer. The drug is injected directly into the external opening of the urethra by 1-2 clicks. If the external processing of genital organs is performed, the use of a nebulizer is not necessary.
Frequency and duration of application of Epigen Intima spray
With herpesvirus infection type 1 and shingles - the drug is used 6 times a day by applying directly to the pathological focus. The duration of drug treatment is usually 5 days, but if the disease persists, therapy should continue until all symptoms disappear completely.
When infected with herpesvirus type 2 and cytomegalovirus damage, the drug is applied 5 times a day for 14 days. It is recommended to combine external and intravaginal use of the drug. After elimination of acute symptoms, active prophylaxis of recurrent course with external and intravaginal application of the spray 3 times per knock for 10 days should be performed.
In case of papillomavirus infection, treatment with a pharmaceutical preparation is carried out by surgical manipulation. Before the removal of genital warts, etiotropic therapy provides for three-fold spraying throughout the day. Against the background of destruction (the method of surgical intervention is not taken into account), the drug is used five times for 10 days or more. The criterion for the end of drug rehabilitation is the complete healing of the pathological focus. In order to prevent immediate relapse, the spray is applied 3 times a day for 1 month.
In the long-term prophylaxis of papillomavirus infection, the use of a pharmaceutical preparation is caused by the appearance of various provoking factors, which may include stress, respiratory viral diseases, administration of antibiotics or cytotoxic agents, disturbance of microflora, prolonged fatigue. The drug is used before and after sexual intercourse or 3 times a day during the entire period of influence of external factors of aggression.
Epigen spray with thrush, vulvovaginal candidiasis, unspecific vulvovaginitis or bacterial etiology is used intravaginally 3-4 times a day for 7-10 days. The therapeutic course should be repeated after 10 days, since the causative agents of these pathological conditions are able to avoid the influence of the pharmaceutical preparation due to individual characteristics.
With alcohol
The pharmaceutical does not interact with the constituent components of alcoholic beverages, since it is intended for local therapeutic properties, but the abuse of alcohol can lead to suppression of the body's protective capacity, which adversely affects the course of each individual pathology and significantly increases the duration of conservative treatment.
In pregnancy and lactation
Gel Epigen in pregnancy or breastfeeding, as well as intimate Epigen gel, should be used according to traditional treatment regimens, that is, with the indicated dosages and duration of the course of conservative sanitation, since the pharmacological properties are directed directly to the pathological focus, and the systemic blood flow absorbs an incredibly small amount active components, without side effects.
