Reed more and buy Gliatilin on this page

Capsules Gliatilin is a pharmacological drug that has a predominant effect on the structures of the central nervous system and nootropic action. This drug is used in neurology for the treatment of various pathologies of the brain, accompanied by metabolic disorders in its structures and tissues.

Form of issue and composition

The drug Gliatilin is available in two dosage forms - a solution for parenteral administration and capsules. In one capsule contains 400 mg of the main active ingredient choline alfoscerate (metabolically protected choline). It also includes auxiliary components, which include:
    Glycerol.
    Purified water.
    Ezitol.
    Gelatin.
    Ethyl parahydroxybenzoate sodium.
    Sorbitans.
    Propyl parahydroxybenzoate sodium.
    Ferric dioxide (III).
    Titanium dioxide (E171).
    Metahydroxide (E172).
Capsules are packaged in a contiguous cell pack of 14 pieces. The cardboard pack contains one contour mesh package and instructions for the use of the preparation.

pharmachologic effect

The main active substance of capsules Gliatilin choline is a central effect holinomimetic, it promotes the synthesis of endogenous (own) acetylcholine (mediator of the central nervous system), due to which it has a number of pharmacological effects:
Improving the transmission of nerve impulses in synapses.
Improve blood flow in structures and tissues of the brain.
Strengthening of metabolic processes in neurocytes (cells of the nervous system), due to which they generate more energy needed to perform physiological functions.
Stimulation of the structures of the reticular formation of the brain, which improves its overall functional activity.
Also, the main active ingredient component, alfoscerate in the brain, undergoes biotransformation and is converted into glycerophosphate, which is necessary for the restoration of damaged cell membranes of neurocytes (involved in the synthesis of membrane phospholipid). Due to this, the plastic properties of cell membranes are improved, and the corrective effect of the drug on the development of age-related changes (involution) of the structures of the central nervous system is found.
After taking the capsule inside, the active substance is absorbed into the blood from the lumen of the small intestine, spreads through the body and accumulates mainly in the brain tissues (freely penetrates the blood-brain barrier). The active substance in the brain tissues is metabolized with the formation of the final product of the decomposition of carbon dioxide, which is excreted by the lungs.

Indications for use

Reception of capsules Gliatilin is indicated for various pathologies of the central nervous system, which is accompanied by a violation of the metabolism of neurocytes and the transmission of a nerve impulse in the synapses, it includes:
Postoperated craniocerebral injury in the acute period of the course of the pathological reactive process with the predominant lesion of the structures of the medulla oblongata.
Degenerative-dystrophic and involutional (age) processes in the brain, accompanied by a disturbance of metabolism in its tissues, damages of neurocytes and synapses, mnestic disorders (memory impairment), changes in consciousness (confusion), lack of motivation, disorientation in space and time, , ability to concentrate.
Violations of the emotional sphere of higher mental functions - emotional instability (sharp mood swings), decreased interest in the world, depressive mood, periodic irritability.
Acute and chronic circulatory disorders in the brain in the acute and recovery period, including ischemia (insufficient blood flow to the tissues) and hemorrhagic damage (hemorrhage).
    Age senile pseudomelanchia.
On the recommendation and appointment of a neurologist, the drug can be used for postinfection complications associated with changes in the functional activity of the brain.

Contraindications for use

Capsules Gliatilin is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance, hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or auxiliary components of the drug. Also, they are not recommended for children under 18 years of age, for women during pregnancy at any time or during breastfeeding of a child.

Dosing and Administration

Capsule Gliatilin is taken orally before meals, after intake it must be drunk with a sufficient amount of liquid. The average recommended therapeutic dose is 400 mg (1 capsule) 2-3 times a day for chronic disorders of the functional activity of the brain. The duration of therapy is set by the doctor individually, depending on the main pathological process, on average, it lasts 3-6 months.

Side effects

In general, Gliatilin capsules are transferred well, even with prolonged use. Sometimes there may be nausea, usually the dosage of the drug is somewhat reduced and the course of treatment continues. In rare cases, it is possible to develop allergic reactions in the form of a rash on the skin, its itching, urticaria (a characteristic rash and swelling of the skin, reminiscent of a nettle burn). Severe allergic reactions angioedema Quincke (pronounced edema of the skin and subcutaneous tissue with localization in the face or external genital organs), anaphylactic shock (a critical decrease in systemic blood pressure and multiple organ failure) have not been described.

special instructions

Before you start using Gliatilin capsules, you should carefully read the instructions that are included with the drug. There are a few special instructions regarding its use:
The proven safety of the drug for children, pregnant or lactating women is not, so in such cases, its reception is excluded.
Possible significant interaction of the active ingredient and auxiliary components of Gliatilin capsules with drugs of other pharmacological groups is not established.
The drug does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions and concentration of attention.
In the pharmacy chain, Gliatilin capsules are dispensed on prescription. It is not recommended to receive them on their own or on the advice of third parties.

Overdose

If the recommended therapeutic dose is exceeded, nausea may develop. In such cases, his dose is reduced and symptomatic treatment is carried out.

Terms and conditions of storage

The shelf life of Gliatilin capsules is 5 years from the date of manufacture. The drug should be stored in a dark, dry place inaccessible to children at an air temperature of no more than + 25 ° C.
