Composition
In one lozenge there are 100 milligrams of an aqueous extract of Icelandic moss. Also contained Aqua purificata, Parafin liquid, Chlorophyll (water-soluble) 100%, Ol. menthae piperitae, Aspartame, sol. Sorbitoli 70%, Gum Arabic.
Form of issue
Available in the form of lozenges for resorption of 100 milligrams, in blisters for 10 pieces. There are 3 blisters in the package.
pharmachologic effect
The Isla-Mint tablets are a topical herbal remedy based on an extract of Icelandic moss. It has anti-inflammatory, emollient and expectorant actions. Enveloping and antitussive actions are carried out at the expense of the content of polysaccharides, namely isochinine and lichenin. With resorption, they create a film that lines the mucous membrane of the oropharynx. This protects the oropharynx from drying out, irritation and inflammation. Antibiotic and anti-inflammatory effects are due to lichenic acids. Also, the drug has an immunostimulating effect that accelerates the healing process in diseases of the bronchial tree and nasopharynx.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
Pastilles have only a local effect.
Indications for use
Isla-Mint is shown at:
a strong burden on the vocal cords (for lecturers, teachers and singers);
BA (as an aid);
hoarseness (pharyngitis, laryngitis);
coughing, including during bronchitis;
dryness of mucous membranes in the dry atmosphere of residential premises or in insufficiently moistened offices during the heating season, as well as in sports and limited nasal breathing.
Contraindications for Isla-mint
Lozenges are contraindicated when:
individual sensitivity to the content;
intolerance to fructose;
phenylketonuria, since the preparation contains aspartame.

Isla-Mint, instructions for use (Method and dosage)
The lozenge must be slowly dissolves in the oral cavity until completely dissolved. Chew is not recommended. Long-term therapy is acceptable, but if the effect is not observed within ten days of use, it is worthwhile to reconsider the approach to treatment. If the therapeutic effect has occurred, it is advisable to continue taking the lozenges for another two or three days to fix the result.
Children from 4 to 12 years are recommended to take one lozenge every 2 hours (maximum 6 pieces per day). Children after 12 years and adults are recommended to take one lozenge every hour (maximum 12 pieces per day).
For prevention with a high load on the respiratory tract (sensation of throat in the throat of teachers, speakers and sports loads) it is recommended to take one lozenge three times a day.
