Indications for use

Indicated for use in adults for superficial anesthesia:
- superficial anesthesia of the mucous membrane of the genital organs before carrying out painful manipulations and for anesthesia before injections of local anesthetics;
- superficial anesthesia of trophic ulcers of the lower extremities during surgical treatment (mechanical cleaning), for example, to remove fibrin, pus and necrotic tissues;
- superficial anesthesia of the skin with injections (including vaccination), puncture and catheterization of vessels and superficial surgical interventions, including small cosmetic procedures and hair removal.
For children:
- superficial anesthesia of the skin with injections (including vaccination), puncture and catheterization of vessels and surface surgical interventions (including when removing molluscum contagiosum).

Contraindications for Acriol Pro cream

Hypersensitivity to the drug components, to local anesthetics of the amide type.
Newborns weighing less than 3 kg.
Premature newborns born before 37 weeks of gestation.

Carefully:

Insufficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, the use of antiarrhythmic drugs of class III (amiodarone), hereditary or idiopathic methemoglobinemia, atopic dermatitis.

Dosing and Administration (Instruction)

Cream Acriol Pro is applied externally, on the skin or mucous membrane, the time of application is at least 30 minutes.
In case of anesthesia of the skin, the use of occlusal stickers is permissible, with an anesthetic of trophic ulcers of the lower extremities, it is necessary to use an occlusive dressing made of PVC.

Pharmachologic effect

The cream is a combined preparation for local anesthesia, which contains lidocaine and prilocaine (local anesthetics of the amide type). Anesthesia of the skin is caused by the penetration of lidocaine and prilocaine into the layers of the epidermis and dermis; the degree of anesthesia depends on the dose of Acryol Pro and the duration of the application.

Side effects of Acriol Pro

When applied to intact skin:
allergic reactions, anaphylactic shock; methemoglobinemia and / or cyanosis;
transient local reactions in the area of ​​application of the drug - pallor, redness and swelling; at the first moment after application, slight burning, itching and sensation of heat in the application area;
hemorrhagic rash, pinpoint hemorrhages in the application area (especially after prolonged use in children with atopic dermatitis or molluscum contagiosum);
irritation of the cornea when the cream enters the eyes.
When applied to trophic ulcers of the lower extremities:
in the area of ​​application
transient local reactions - pallor, redness and swelling; slight burning sensation at the first moment after application, itching and sensation of heat, skin irritation.

Special instructions

Be careful when applying Acrylic Pro around the eyes (causes eye irritation). Elimination of protective reflexes can cause irritation or damage to the cornea. If acrylic comes into contact with eyes, immediately rinse eyes with water or 0.9% solution of sodium chloride, and protect the eyes before restoration of protective reflexes.
Be careful when applying Acryol Pro on the skin with atopic dermatitis (the time of application should be reduced to 15-30 minutes).

Interaction

It is not recommended joint use with drugs that cause methemoglobinemia in children aged 0 to 12 months.
Cream Acriol Pro can increase the concentration of methhemoglobin in the blood in patients receiving drugs that induce the development of methemoglobinemia (eg preparations containing sulfo group)
The risk of enhancing systemic effects when using high doses of Acryol Pro when treated with other local anesthetics.
Caution should be exercised when combined with antiarrhythmic drugs of Class III and carry out constant monitoring and ECG monitoring (possibly affecting cardiac activity).
