Composition

One sachet contains 5 g of a mixture of granules for the preparation of a Hepa-Merz solution containing 3 g of ornithine aspartate (active drug compound), as well as the following excipients: E110 (orange yellow dye), orange and lemon flavors, cyclamate sodium, levulose, saccharin and polyvinylpyrrolidone.
In a single ampoule concentrate for the preparation of Hepa-Mertz solution there is 5 g. Ornithine aspartate, as well as up to 10 ml. water for injection (auxiliary connection).

Form of issue

The granulate (a mixture of Hepa-Mertz granules of white and orange colors) for the preparation of the solution is packaged in sachets of 5 g each. One carton contains 30 sachets.
The concentrate is produced in ampoules of dark glass, with a nominal volume of 10 ml. One carton pack contains 10 ampoules.

The drug has a hepatoprotective pharmacological effect on the human body. Hepa-Mertz refers to a hypoazotemic pharmaco-therapeutic group of drugs.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The active compound ornithine aspartate, contained in Hepa-Mertz, participates in biosynthesis from urea ammonia (the ornithine Krebs cycle), and promotes the production of STH and insulin, speeds up protein metabolism, improves liver function (detoxification effect) and lowers ammonia levels in the blood.
The medicinal substance is quickly absorbed in the stomach and penetrates into the blood through the intestinal epithelium and is excreted from the body with urine.

Indications for use Hepa-merz

Indications for the use of Hepa-Mertz are:
    liver diseases, including chronic or acute forms, accompanied by hyperammonemia;
    hepatic encephalopathy.
As part of complex therapy, the drug is used to treat disorders of consciousness (coma or a state of precoma). In addition, Hepa-Merz acts as a corrective supplement in the diet for patients with protein deficiency.
The drug can be used to remove intoxication during alcohol poisoning.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in cases of impaired renal function (with a blood content of 3 mg / 100 ml of creatine).

Side effects

It should be noted that such possible side effects of the drug as nausea, allergic rashes on the skin and vomiting are extremely rare.

Hepa-Merz, instructions for use (Method and dosage)
