    sorbitol, pectin, potassium sorbate, agar-agar 800, calcium sulfate dihydrate, orange flavor, water.

Form of issue

Phosphalugel is available in the form of a homogeneous gel of white color, which has a smell and taste of orange.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Phosphalugel is an antacid drug that has an adsorbent, acid neutralizing and enveloping action. It reduces the activity of pepsin. Aluminum phosphate neutralizes excess hydrochloric acid, while maintaining the physiological conditions of digestion, and prevents the secondary hypersecretion of gastric juice.
It envelops the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, forming on it, thus, a protective layer that protects from aggressive factors and promotes its regeneration.
The drug contributes to the elimination of gases, toxins and harmful microelements in the digestive tract, normalizes the passage of the intestine.
Electrolyte balance in the application of Phosphalugel is not violated. It also does not cause alkalosis and the formation of stones in the urinary tract.
The manufacturer does not provide data on the pharmacokinetics of Phosphalugel.

Instructions for use of Phosphalugel (Method and dosage)

The medicine is taken orally in its pure form or diluted in a glass half filled with water. The daily dose should be no more than 6 packets.
Children who are older than 6 years, as well as adults are recommended to take one or two bags from 2 to 3 times per day.
Patients suffering from the duodenal ulcer and stomach must take the drug a couple of hours after eating or when pain occurs; with diaphragmatic hernia and reflux gastroesophageal - after food and before bedtime; with diseases of the colon of a functional type - on an empty stomach in the morning and at bedtime; with dyspepsia and gastritis - before eating.
In the event that during a break between Fosfalugel's methods of pain resumed, it is permitted to repeat the administration of the drug.
Children under 6 months drink a quarter of a bag or one teaspoon (not more than 4 grams). Take the drug should be after feeding (but no more than 6 times). Children older than 6 months take half a sachet (two teaspoons) after all 4 feedings.
