Form of formulation and composition of the preparation

The drug Cycloferon is available in the form of tablets for oral administration. The tablets are covered with an enteric film coating of yellow color, round, convex on both sides. Tablets are produced in contour cell packs of 10 pieces, in a cardboard box, an instruction is attached to the preparation with a detailed description of the characteristics.
Each tablet of the preparation contains 150 mg of active ingredient - Meglumine acridonacetate, in terms of acidonacetic acid. In addition, the formulation includes auxiliary components: povidone, calcium stearate, propylene glycol.

Indications for use

The drug Cycloferon is prescribed for adults and children for oral administration as part of complex therapy with the following conditions:
    viral hepatitis A, B, C, D;
    influenza and ARVI;
    adenovirus infection;
    prevention of viral infections during influenza epidemics;
    herpes simplex virus;
    cytomegalovirus infection;
    secondary immunodeficiency states caused by chronic viral, fungal or bacterial infections;
    Rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.

Contraindications

Before starting taking Cycloferon tablets, you should read the instructions carefully. The drug has a number of contraindications:
    decompensated stage of cirrhosis;
    children under 4 years;
    pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
    individual intolerance of the drug components.
Relative contraindications for taking tablets are gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, including history, duodenitis, cases of allergic reactions to interferon preparations.

Dosing and Administration

Tablets Cycloferon is prescribed for oral administration once a day after meals. The dose of the drug and the duration of the course of treatment is calculated individually, depending on the diagnosis, body characteristics and age. According to the instructions, adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 3-4 tablets per meal (600 mg), children from 7 to 12 years old - 3 tablets at a time, children from 4 to 6 years - 1 tablet of the drug once a day . Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation
