The drug Dalacin refers to antibiotics from the group of lincosamides and is available in several dosage forms. Dalacin in the form of vaginal cream is used to treat and prevent gynecological diseases in women.

Form of formulation and composition of the preparation

The drug Dalacin is available in the form of 2% vaginal cream, which is used to treat gynecological pathologies. The preparation is a homogeneous thick white mass without any impurities or inclusions. The cream is packed in aluminum tubes with a volume of 20 or 40 g with attached applicators for the convenience of introducing the drug into the vagina and detailed description.
The main active component of Dalacin 2% cream is clindamycin phosphate. As auxiliary components are: polysorbate, propylene glycol, purified water, benzyl alcohol, mineral oil, cetostearyl alcohol.

Pharmacological properties of the drug

Vaginal cream Dalacin is a local antibiotic belonging to the group of lincosamides. When the cream is inserted into the vagina, a slow release of the main active ingredient of the drug takes place. Clindamycin shows high therapeutic activity in relation to gardnerella, mycoplasma, peptostreptococcus and some other pathogens of infectious processes.

Indications for use

Contraindications

The drug can be used only after consultation with a gynecologist. Before starting the application of the vaginal cream, the patient should carefully study the instructions, since the medicine has some limitations and contraindications. These include:
    Intolerance of the components of the drug;
    Severe allergic reactions in the anamnesis on antibiotics from the group of lincosamides;
    Bleeding from the vagina of an unknown etiology;
    The period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
    Malignant tumors of the uterus or genital tract;
    Age to 18 years.

Dosing and Administration
