Pharmacodynamics

The active ingredient clindamycin is an antibiotic of the lincosamide group. Depending on the dose, it has a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect, disrupting protein exchange in the ribosome membrane of pathogenic microorganisms.
Gram-positive aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, actinomycetes, mycoplasmas, bacteroides are sensitive to it. It is effective in gynecological infections that cause Mycoplasmahominis, Mobiluncusspp., Gardnerellavaginalis.
The drug is resistant to Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida albicans.

Pharmacokinetics

When ingested, a high (up to 90%) absorption is noted, which is not affected by food intake. The maximum concentration in the blood is determined after 50-60 minutes. Contraindications

Side effects

Gel: dryness and irritation of the skin, contact dermatitis, folliculitis, increased production of sebum. Seldom manifest systemic effects - nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, possibly the development of colitis.

Overdose

Interaction
