Instruction for Dalacin gel

You can buy Dalacin gel here

The drug Dalacin is an antibiotic from the group of lincosamides, which has a wide range of effects. The drug is available in several dosage forms and is used in many areas of medicine.

Form of formulation and composition of the preparation

The drug Dalacin for acne is available in the form of 1% gel for external use in an aluminum tube of 30 g with the attached detailed instructions in a cardboard bundle. The gel is a transparent, homogeneous viscous substance without any significant odor and impurities.
The main active component of the gel from acne Dalacin is clindamycin phosphate, as auxiliary components are: polyethylene glycol, allantoin, methylparaben, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, purified water, propylene glycol.

Pharmacological properties of the drug

Gel Dalacin is for external use only. The drug is most often used in dermatology and cosmetology for the treatment of acne, acne and pustular rashes. The active substance of the gel penetrates deep into the pores when it hits the skin, damagingly affects the pathogenic microflora. The drug dries out rashes, stimulates the early formation of a crust without the subsequent formation of a scar, prevents further spread of the infection.
Under the influence of the gel in the patient, signs of inflammation decrease, puffiness and redness decreases. In a small amount, the active components of the gel penetrate into the common bloodstream.

Indications for use

Gel 1% Dalacin is most often prescribed to patients for the treatment and prevention of the following conditions:
    Treatment of vulgar acne in adolescents;
    Furuncles and carbuncles as part of complex therapy;
    Infectious diseases of soft tissues - impetigo, pustular lesions, erysipelatous inflammation, open wound surfaces with the development of secondary bacterial infection, which poorly heal, skin abscesses.
The drug is also used to prevent the formation of deep scars after a traumatic injury or severe acne in adolescents.

Contraindications to use

Gel Dalacin 1% can be absorbed in an insignificant amount in the common bloodstream, therefore, before using the drug, you should carefully read the instructions, in particular, with the section "contraindications". The drug is contraindicated for use if the patient has such conditions:
    Individual intolerance of the active or auxiliary components of the drug;
    Severe disturbances in liver function;
    Age under 12 years;
    Pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
    Cases of an allergic reaction in the anamnesis to clindamycin or other antibiotics of the linkomycin group.

Dosing and Administration

The preparation Dalacin in the form of gel 1% is intended for external use only. The gel is applied to the pre-cleaned skin with a thin layer 2 times a day. The duration of the course of therapy according to the instructions is 1.5-2 months, if necessary, the gel can be used up to 6 months, after which it is necessary to take a break.
Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding
