pharmachologic effect

For Grammidin, an anesthetic of Neo is characterized by antiseptic, antimicrobial and local anesthetic action.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The combined preparation includes an antimicrobial component - gramicidin C, antiseptic - cetylpyridinium chloride and local anesthetic - oxybuprocaine, which gives an analgesic effect and the drug as a whole is effective in infectious inflammatory diseases of the oropharynx.
The mechanism of action of gramicidin C is based on its ability to increase the permeability of cytoplasmic membranes of microbial cells, causing a violation of stability and death of microorganisms (most Gram + and Gram-).
As a local anesthetic, oxybuprokain anesthetizes locally on the mucous membrane in the mouth and throat - acts through a reversible blockade of nerve signaling through the axons (long processes) of nerve cells.
Cetylpyridinium chloride is an antiseptic that suppresses reproduction and growth of infectious and inflammatory pathogens in the mouth and throat.
Due to its anesthetic effect, antimicrobial action removes inflammation, softens unpleasant sensations when swallowing, and increased salivation contributes to natural mechanical cleansing of the throat and mouth.

The drug acts topically, practically does not undergo absorption in the digestive tract and does not give systemic effects.
