Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

This preparation contains alcohol extracts of plants, namely: horse chestnut seeds and sweet clover grass. These components also provide a venotonic and antiexudative effect of the gel.
As is known, the extract of horse chestnut seeds consists of derivatives of flavone glycosides with capillaroprotective activity. Therefore, its use is able to increase the stability of the capillary walls to various injuries, providing a significant and stable antiexudative action.
The active ingredients of the melilot extract are melilotin and coumarin. These substances reduce the permeability of the walls of blood vessels, increasing venous blood flow and microcirculation.
The use of these active components in combination enhances the capillaroprotective effect. Therefore, Herbion Aesculus ointment helps to eliminate the permeability of capillaries, to reduce inflammation, to prevent the filtration of low-molecular proteins, as well as electrolytes and liquids, into the intercellular space. At the same time there is an improvement in metabolic processes in tissues.
Thanks to the use of this drug, a feeling of heaviness, puffiness and pain in the legs, various inflammatory phenomena on the skin surface are removed. The gel is easily and quickly applied and absorbed, pleasantly cools the skin.

Indications for use

The main indication for the purpose of the gel is therapy:
    peripheral circulatory disorders, chronic forms of venous insufficiency of various origins, for example, varicose veins, postthrombophlebitic syndrome, leg swelling in pregnant women, pain and heaviness in the legs;
    posttraumatic or postoperative edema of soft tissues.

Contraindications

Apply this external product is not recommended when:
    hypersensitivity to its components;
