Release form and drug composition

The drug Papazol is produced in the form of tablets for oral use in blisters of 10 pieces, packed in a cardboard box with the attached detailed description. Each tablet contains 2 active active ingredients - Dibazol in the form of Bendazole hydrochloride and Papaverine hydrochloride, 0.03 g each. As auxiliary components are potato starch, calcium stearate, lactose monohydrate.

Pharmacological properties of the drug

Tablets Papazol belongs to the group of combined antispasmodics. The active ingredients that make up the drug lower blood pressure indicators, dilate blood vessels, and remove the increased tone of smooth muscles.
Dibazol is a myotropic antispasmodic, has a relaxing and vasodilating effect, has a moderate immunostimulating activity.
Papaverine hydrochloride - antispasmodic, has a relaxing effect on smooth muscles, which are lined with bronchi, organs of the gastrointestinal tract, uterus, bladder. The drug has a mild sedative effect on the central nervous system.

Indications for use

Tablets Papazol prescribed to patients in the presence of the following conditions:
    High blood pressure;
    Spasm of cerebral vessels, as a result of which the nutrition of brain areas is disturbed;
    Spasm and spastic pains of the digestive tract organs, in particular, biliary colic, cholecystitis, spastic colitis;
    Renal colic;
    Paralysis of the facial nerve in the complex therapy.

Contraindications for Papazol

The drug can be used only on prescription. Before starting therapy, you should carefully read the enclosed instructions, the tablets have a number of the following contraindications:
    Violation of the conductivity of the heart muscle;
    Epilepsy;
    Age of children under 1 year;
    Individual intolerance to the drug;
    Broncho-obstructive syndrome.
The relative contraindications (when you can take pills only as a last resort) include:
    Intestinal hypotension;
    Transferred traumatic brain injury;

Papazol tablets are intended for oral administration. Adult patients prescribed 1-2 tablets, regardless of the meal 3-4 times a day.
If you need to use the drug in pediatric practice, a single and daily dose of medication the doctor calculates individually. The duration of the course of therapy depends on the indications and characteristics of the patient.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

In the first trimester of pregnancy, the use of Papazol tablets is undesirable, since during this period the organs and systems of the fetus are formed, and the effect of any medication may adversely affect this process.
The use of the drug in the second and third trimesters is possible only in the case when the expected benefit to the mother is higher than the likely risk for the unborn child. The treatment is carried out under the supervision of a specialist in a strictly recommended dose.
Since the active ingredients of the drug Papazol may be excreted in breast milk, it is recommended to transfer the baby to an artificial diet if you need therapy during lactation.

Side effects

During treatment with a drug, patients may develop side effects:
    On the part of the digestive tract - nausea, constipation, abdominal distension, lack of appetite, sometimes vomiting, dry mouth, changes in the activity of hepatic transaminases;
    On the part of the central nervous system - dizziness, drowsiness, lethargy, weakness;
    From the side of the cardiovascular system - a violation of the heart rhythm, a violation of the conductivity of the heart muscle, a decrease in the contractile function of the myocardium, tachycardia;
    Allergic reactions - a rash on the skin, urticaria, flushing of the face;
    Increased sweating.

Overdose

At observance of a dose recommended in the instruction overdose with tablets Papazol is unlikely. When the dosage is exceeded, signs of overdose gradually develop, which are expressed in enhancing the above-described adverse reactions and inhibition of liver function in severe cases. In case of accidental ingestion of a large number of tablets, the patient should induce vomiting, give chelators to enterosorbents and deliver to the hospital. If necessary, the patient is symptomatic therapy.
