Pharmacodynamics

Pantoderm plus - the combined preparation for topical administration.
Dexpanthenol is a vitamin B group, a derivative of pantothenic acid. Dexpanthenol is converted in the body into pantothenic acid, which is an integral part of coenzyme A and is involved in acetylation, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, in the synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrins; stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism, accelerates mitosis and increases the strength of collagen fibers. It has a regenerating, metabolic and weak anti-inflammatory effect.
Chlorhexidine - an antimicrobial drug, is an antiseptic. Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Staphylococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E.coli, Streptococcus spp., As well as yeast-like fungi and dermatophytes. Remains active in the presence of blood, pus, various secrets and organic matter.
The drug Pantoderm plus protects the wound surface from infections, inhibits the course of the infectious process and accelerates healing.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, dexpanthenol is rapidly absorbed by the skin and is converted into pantothenic acid and binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin). Its concentration in the blood - 0.5-1 mg / l, in the serum - 100 µg / l. Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body (except for inclusion in coenzyme A), it is excreted unchanged.
