pharmachologic effect

Oligopeptidny immunostimulant, provides immunoregulatory, detoxification and hepatoprotective action, inactivates free radical and peroxide compounds. The action is based on the normalization of the immune and oxidation-antioxidant system of the body.
The action begins in 2-3 hours (fast phase) and lasts up to 4 months (middle and slow phases).
During the fast phase (duration - up to 2-3 days), first of all, the detoxification effect is manifested, the antioxidant defense of the organism is enhanced by stimulating the production of ceruloplasmin, lactoferrin, catalase activity; Imunofan for injections normalizes lipid peroxidation, inhibits the destruction of cell membrane phospholipids and the synthesis of arachidonic acid, followed by a decrease in the concentration of cholesterol and the production of inflammatory mediators. With toxic and infectious liver damage, Imunofan solution prevents cytolysis, reduces the activity of transaminases and the concentration of bilirubin in the blood serum.
During the middle phase (beginning 2-3 days, duration - up to 7-10 days), there is an intensification of the reactions of phagocytosis and death of intracellular bacteria and viruses. As a result of the activation of phagocytosis, slight exacerbation of foci of chronic inflammation, supported by the persistence of viral or bacterial agents, is possible.
During the slow phase (starts 7-10 days, duration - up to 4 months), the immunomodulating effect of Imunofan for injections manifests itself: restoration of the disturbed parameters of cellular and humoral immunity, increase in the production of specific antibodies.
The effect on the production of specific antiviral and antibacterial antibodies is equivalent to the action of certain therapeutic vaccines. Unlike the latter, Imunofan solution does not significantly affect the production of reactive IgE antibodies and does not enhance the immediate-type hypersensitivity reaction. Stimulates the formation of IgA in its congenital insufficiency.
The action does not depend on the production of PgE2, the administration of Imunofan for injections is possible in combination with anti-inflammatory drugs (steroid and non-steroidal structure).

Prevention and treatment of immunodeficiency conditions of various etiologies in children and adults:
- combined therapy of tumors, papillomatosis of the larynx and oropharynx in children;
- opportunistic infections (CMV and herpetic infection, toxoplasmosis, chlamydia, pneumocystis, cryptosporidiosis), complex therapy of HIV infection, chronic viral hepatitis, chronic brucellosis, diphtheria (including bacteriocarrier);

- purulent-septic complications;
- bronchoobstructive syndrome;

Dosage

In patients with a common tumor process (III-IV century), different localization in terms of complex or symptomatic therapy - 1 ml 1 time / day every other day, for a course of 5-7 ml, with a break of 20 days and a repetition of the course of 2-3 times.
For opportunistic infections, 1 ml every 3 days, 10-15 injections per course.
For chronic viral hepatitis and chronic brucellosis, 1 ml every 4 days, for a course of 8-10 injections, for repeat prophylaxis, repeat courses should be conducted after 4-6 months.
In diphtheria - 1 ml 1 time / day daily, for the course - 8-10 injections; with diphtheria bacteriocarrier - 1 ml every 4 days, for a course - 3-5 injections.
