Form of release, composition and packaging

Ointment for external and topical application of yellow or yellowish white color, viscous, homogeneous, with a specific smell of lanolin.

pharmachologic effect

Immunomodulating and antiviral drug. Interferon human recombinant alpha-2 has a pronounced antiviral, antiproliferative and immunomodulatory properties. In the presence of excipients included in the preparation (antioxidant tocopherol acetate), the specific antiviral activity of interferon of human recombinant alpha-2 increases, its immunomodulating effect (stimulation of the phagocytic function of neutrophils in lesions) is enhanced.

With external and local application systemic absorption of interferon is low.

Indications for Viferon ointment

- Treatment of herpetic infections (Herpes simplex 1 and 2 types) of skin and mucous membranes of various locations;

Contraindications

Dosage

When herpetic infection ointment is applied a thin layer on the lesion lesions 3-4 times / day, the duration of treatment is 5-7 days.
It is recommended to start treatment immediately with the appearance of the first signs of skin and mucous membrane damage (itching, burning, redness). Side effects
