The main active ingredient of the drug is meloxicam, its content in 1 ml of solution is 10 mg. Also included in the preparation are auxiliary components, which include:
    Glycine.
    Meglumine.
    Poloxamer 188.
    Sodium hydroxide.
    Sodium chloride.

    Water for injections.
Solution for parenteral administration Meloxicam is contained in 1.5 ml plastic transparent ampoules (15 mg of the active substance), which are packaged in a blister pack of 3, 5, or 10 pieces. The carton pack contains one blisters and instructions for use of the drug.

pharmachologic effect

The active ingredient of the solution for parenteral administration. Meloxicam solution is a representative of the pharmacological group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It inhibits the activity of the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is responsible for the chemical transformation of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins during the development of the inflammatory reaction. Prostaglandins lead to an increase in local and general temperature, the development of pain, swelling and hyperemia (increased blood supply in the inflammatory response area). Meloxicam reduces the concentration of prostaglandins, due to which it has antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.
After intramuscular administration of the solution of Meloxicam, the active substance quickly accumulates in the blood plasma and is evenly distributed in the tissues of the body with a higher concentration in the structures of the musculoskeletal system. Meloxicam is metabolized in the liver to form inactive degradation products, which are mainly excreted in the urine.

Indications for use

The use of the solution for parenteral administration Meloxicam is indicated for the pathogenetic treatment of inflammatory pathology of the structures of the musculoskeletal system, which includes:
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative-dystrophic pathology in which the properties of the cartilage tissue of the joints are disturbed with the development of prolonged inflammation.
Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune inflammation of the joints, in which the immune system produces antibodies to their tissues.
Ankylosing spondylitis or ankylosing spondylitis is an autoimmune process that affects joints and intervertebral joints with severe pain.
Pain and inflammatory symptoms of different nature with a predominant localization in the structures of the musculoskeletal system.
The use of the solution for parenteral administration Meloxicam does not affect the course or progression of the pathological process. It allows you to reduce the inflammatory process at the time of use.

Use of the solution Meloxicam is contraindicated in a number of pathological and physiological states of the body, which include:
Individual intolerance to the active substance or auxiliary components.
Hypersensitivity to drugs from the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Gastrointestinal, intracranial, or other bleeding at the time of use of the drug or transferred in the recent past.
Peptic ulcer with localization in the stomach or duodenum in the stage of clinical and laboratory exacerbation.
Severe insufficiency of the functional activity of the liver, kidneys or cardiovascular system (in particular, acute or chronic heart failure in the decompensation stage).

Digestive system - nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain with predominant localization in the stomach (epigastric), constipation, transient (transient) increase in the activity of hepatic transaminase enzymes (ALT, AST) in the blood, indicating damage to liver cells, sour eructation, esophagitis (inflammation esophagus), ulceration in the stomach or duodenum, latent or apparent gastrointestinal bleeding.
Nervous system - headache, drowsiness, tinnitus, intermittent dizziness, vertigo (severe dizziness).
Cardiovascular system - increased systemic arterial pressure, palpitations, flushing of the face with a sensation of heat and redness, the development of peripheral edema of tissues.
