In one vaginal suppository contains 0.1 g of dexpanthenol and 0.016 g of chlorhexidine bigluconate + additional substances (macrogol, 1500, macrogol 400).
One gram of Depanthol cream contains 0.0525 g of dexpanthenol and 0.00802 g of chlorhexidine bigluconate + propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, paraffin liquid, propylene glycol, petrolatum, sodium dodecahydrate, hydrophosphate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, water.

Form of issue

The Suppositories are torpedo shaped. Color - white or grayish or yellowish. The surface can be marble. Packages of 10 pieces.
Ointment Depanthol - white or almost white homogeneous mass - cream. In tubes of 25, 30 or 50 grams.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Chlorhexidine, which is part of the drug, has a strong antibacterial effect. The substance takes part in the synthesis of acetylcholine, glucocorticosteroids, and porphyrins. Also, dexpanthenol has the property of accelerating mitosis and stimulating the processes of regeneration of the mucous membranes.
Both active ingredients of the drug are quite active in the presence of pus, blood and other secrets. Substances penetrate into the systemic circulation in a very small amount.

Indications for use

Vaginal Suppositories:
    from erosion (with a specific etiology of the disease);
    with acute and chronic vaginitis;
    with endocervitis and exocerve;
    after cryodestruction, laser erosion, diathermocoagulation (in gynecology).
Can appoint Suppositories Depanthol after cauterization of erosion, to improve the recovery of the vaginal mucosa and uterus.
Often prescribe Suppositories after birth, gynecological and obstetrical operations.

The cream is prescribed:

    with abrasions, cuts, cracks, bites, burns, scratches if there is a risk of infection;
