The drug Betaserc is an analog of histamine of synthetic origin.

Form of formulation and composition of the preparation

Betaserc is available in the form of rounded tablets of white or almost white color, convex on both sides. The drug is produced by a dosage of 8, 16 and 24 mg of active ingredient.
The main active substance of the drug is beta-histidine dihydrochloride, as well as auxiliary components - talc, citric acid, silicon dioxide, cellulose, mannitol.

Pharmacological properties of the drug

Betaserc tablets are a drug that, when ingested, improves microcirculation of the blood in the ear maze. The drug is widely effective in the presence of the patient's violations of the vestibular apparatus, ringing in the ears, dizziness caused by the pathology of the vestibular apparatus.
After taking the pill, the main active substance of the drug is quickly absorbed through the mucosa of the digestive canal in the blood. The maximum concentration of the drug is observed in the blood plasma as early as 2.5 hours after ingestion. The drug is excreted from the body by the natural way through the kidneys within a day after taking the pill.
With regular administration of this drug, patients do not become addicted to the drug. In addition, Betaserc does not have a sedative effect on the central nervous system and can be used to treat elderly patients.

Indications for use

Betaserc tablets are prescribed to patients for treatment and prevention of the following conditions:
    Disturbances in the functioning of the vestibular apparatus or the ear maze;
    Noise and ringing in the ears;
    Headaches and dizziness, accompanied by pawning of ears, hearing loss;
    Nausea, vomiting, arising on the background of pain in the ears;
    Dropsy of the labyrinth of the ear or inner ear;
    As part of complex therapy for atherosclerosis;
    As part of a comprehensive treatment for violations of the brain that occur against the background of the resulting injury or stroke;
    As a part of complex therapy in case of insufficient blood supply of blood vessels in the vertebral area;
    Meniere's syndrome.

Betaserc with cervical osteochondrosis

The use of Betaserc for cervical osteochondrosis makes sense in the presence of vertebral artery syndrome or the presence of vertebrogenic cervicocranium.

Method of administration and dosage

Betaserc tablets are for oral use. The drug is recommended to be taken with food, without chewing, and immediately swallowing, drink plenty of liquid.

An overdose of the drug
