In the form of a gel (ointment), the active substance is contained in the preparations Naise and Nimulide.

Nimesulid - what is it?

Nonsteroidal, inflammatory agent. The drug has antiplatelet, antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The principle of action is aimed at inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins in the inflammatory focus, selective inhibition of cyclooxygenase-2.

Indications for use of Nimesulid

Indications for the use of Nimesulid are: osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, arthritis of various genesis. The drug is prescribed for relief of acute pain syndrome with myalgia, algodismenore, toothache, arthralgia, headache, in the postoperative period. The drug does not affect the progression of the disease, is effectively used to reduce the severity of the inflammatory process, to reduce pain, and also as symptomatic therapy.

Contraindications

Nimesulid is not prescribed for erosive and ulcerative diseases of the digestive tract, for bronchial asthma, for intolerance to drugs of the NSAID group, for cerebrovascular and other bleeding, for ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, hemophilia, Crohn's disease, recurrent form of polyposis of the paranasal sinuses and nose, with active bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, with a violation of blood coagulability.

Overdose
