Composition

The emulsion contains the active components of lactulose and simethicone.

Form of issue

It is produced by Dinolac in the form of an emulsion for internal use. The preparation is packed in vials of 100, 200, 500, and also 1000 ml. All vials are tightly sealed and provided with a transparent measuring cup.

pharmachologic effect

Dinolac has a laxative effect.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The effect of this drug is due to its constituents. Lactulose is a synthetic disaccharide, the basis of which is galactose and fructose. In the human body, there are no own hydrolases capable of cleaving disaccharides up to certain monosaccharides. With internal use, lactulose is almost not metabolized, is not absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract, and enters unaltered into the large intestine.
In turn, disaccharidases affect the microflora of the large intestine, and lactulose form enzymes monosaccharides, and then short-chain carboxylic acids.
In the bacterial transformation of lactulose, the pH of the intestinal contents decreases, short-chain fatty acids accumulate, and peristalsis is increased.
Due to short-chain carboxylic acids, the pH level in the colon region decreases, which leads to a significant increase in peristalsis and suppression of the development of proteolytic microflora. With the rapid adsorption of these acids in the distal parts of the colon, the absorption of water as well as sodium and other electrolytes increases.
Thus, laxative action of lactulose occurs and the work of the intestine normalizes, which stimulates the growth and reproduction of the necessary microflora in the intestine.
Simethicone is a product with high defoaming properties. In the digestive tract, the substance is not absorbed, so it is excreted from the body unchanged. This reduces the upper tension and gas formation in the contents of the gastrointestinal tract. Absorption of released gases occurs by the walls of the intestine or is directly excreted from the body. Noticeably decreases the feeling of discomfort in the abdominal cavity.

Dinolac or Duphalac - which is better?

Among a large number of laxatives, osmotic drugs are the safest. The peculiarity of the mechanism of their action lies in the properties of water to be transformed from a fairly weak brine solution into a more concentrated salt solution. These characteristics have both means, the basis of which is lactulose. However, Duphalac does not have simethicone in its composition.
Thanks to simethicone, the tension between the gas and the liquid is reduced. As a result, gas bubbles are destroyed and they are formed less and more slowly.
Therefore, the presence of this substance makes the drug more preferable to others. Gaseous substances are released during the cleavage of lactulose, and simethicone neutralizes them, reducing the risk of developing flatulence.
In addition, the combination of additional components - povidone and silicon dioxide - binds molecules of toxic products and helps to remove them quickly from the body.

Reviews about Dinolac

Drugs of this kind are widely discussed in the network. At the same time, Dinolak, reviews for children about which are mostly positive, users discuss more often. However, among the many positive opinions one can find negative feedback. In most cases, they are associated with the treatment of adult patients. To several users, the drug simply did not help to get rid of constipation, while others additionally got bloating and discomfort.
