Composition
As the main component, carrying out pharmacological action of the drug are enriched and defatted phospholipids. One capsule contains 300 mg of active ingredients. The predominant active fraction is phosphatidylcholine, the mass fraction of which is 76 percent of the total number of phospholipids. The remaining 24 percent is divided between such polyunsaturated fatty acids as:
linoleic acid omega-3 - 62 percent;
linolenic acid omega-6 - 6 percent.
The composition is enriched with the following auxiliary components:
gelatin;
mono or diester of glycerin and food fatty acids;
85% mono / dialkonate of glycerol (C14-C18) - 120 mg;
purified soybean oil - 138.5 mg;
medium chain triglycerides - 40.5 mg;
alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) - 1 mg.
Form of issue
In the pharmacy kiosk, the drug Rezalut Pro is supplied in the form of soft gelatin capsules with an elongated shape. The capsule itself is transparent, the internal contents are a viscous liquid of golden yellow or yellow-brown color. The drug is packaged in blisters of 10 pieces each. The cardboard package accommodates 1, 3 or 5 contour squares.
pharmachologic effect
Rezalut Pro is a pharmaceutical preparation that belongs to the group of hepatoprotectors, that is, the main effect of the drug is directed at strengthening and enriching the liver cells, improving protective functions. The mechanism of action of the active components consists in the restoration of damaged cell membranes of hepatocytes by replenishing the deficiency of endogenous phospholipids with substances identical in chemical structure.
In the course of clinical studies, it has been shown that the use of exogenous substances as building substrates increases the intensity of the course of reparative processes, that is, liver cells recover at a higher rate. The intake of phospholipids from the outside can even stop the damaging factors, which can not be a voice for using them in the therapy of destructive liver diseases.
It should be noted that in addition to phospholipids, the pharmaceutical preparation also contains alpha-tocopherol in its composition. It is a fat-soluble vitamin E, the main pharmacological property of which is the antioxidant effect on cell membranes. Due to its chemical structure, tocopherol binds free radical compounds, thus protecting cells from their destructive influence.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
Phosphatidylcholine enters the gastrointestinal tract orally. Under the action of digestive enzymes, it decomposes to lysophosphatidylcholine, after which it is absorbed. In the intestinal walls, there is a resynthesis of phospholipid with the participation of the body's own systems. Then there are two main ways of metabolism of the constituent parts of the pharmaceutical preparation. First of all, the active components enter the liver, where they decompose to such constituents as fatty acids, choline and glycerin-3-phosphate. Their excretion corresponds to the excretion of their own phospholipids.
Another part of the active substance, which accounts for a large percentage of all taken phospholipids, enters the lymphatic channel from the intestine, and then it is found in the blood circulation. In plasma, phosphoglycerides, led by phosphatidylcholine, bind strongly to albumins and lipoproteins. Within a few hours, these constituent components are integrated into the body's own phospholipids, which becomes the final point of the drug's metabolism.
Indications for the use of Rezalut
fatty degeneration of liver of various origin;
cirrhosis of the liver;
toxic or medicinal lesions of the glandular organ;
chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver (hepatitis);
hypercholesterolemia (the drug is used in the case of ineffectiveness of non-drug therapies, such as increased physical activity, diet or other weight loss measures);
psoriasis;
radiation syndrome is a symptom complex including cerebral, hematologic and gastrointestinal manifestations under the action of ionizing radiation on the human body;
unbalanced nutrition;
neurodermatitis.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity, hereditary or acquired intolerance of the constituent components of the drug (or idiosyncrasy to legumes and soy products, peanuts);
antiphospholipid syndrome is a multi-organ nosological unit that is characterized by the production of immune antibodies to endo- and exogenous phospholipids;
in pediatric practice up to 12 years;
periods of bearing and breastfeeding.
Side effects
In the treatment of this pharmaceutical product, the following adverse effects can be observed:
From the digestive system: uncomfortable sensation in the abdomen, epigastric pain, diarrhea.
Allergic reactions: rash or hives.
Others: point petechial hemorrhages in subcutaneous fatty tissue, intermenstrual bleeding in women.
Rezalut, instructions for use (Method and dosage)
Capsules are intended for oral administration. Use them should be before eating, without chewing, and squeezed with enough water, so as not to damage the capsule. Digestive enzymes necessary for the correct metabolism of phospholipids are found only in the intestines, because the sophisticated capsule loses all its pharmaceutical abilities. The standard dosage is 6 capsules for daily intake - 2 pieces 3 times a day.
The course of treatment Rezalut Pro is appointed individually by the attending physician, since its duration can vary considerably depending on the therapeutic indications and metabolic properties of the organism. If within two weeks of active conservative therapy there is no improvement in the patient's condition, then such treatment is considered ineffective, and medical rehabilitation is stopped in order to find a stronger pharmaceutical product.
Overdose
With an increased concentration of the drug in the bloodstream, there may be abnormalities in the gastrointestinal tract or an increase in side effects, but no centralized studies of the drug overdose Rezalut Pro were conducted.
There is no specific antagonist for this drug, therefore, symptomatic drug treatment of the observed reactions on the part of the body is used when symptoms of overdose appear (the gastrointestinal lavage with salt solutions, enemas with various pharmaceutical preparations, enterosorbents and artificial methods of stomach evacuation are actively used).
Interaction
Clinically significant interactions of the pharmaceutical preparation are rather small, since the main constituents of the drug are part of the natural metabolism of the human body.
When using Rezalut with coumarin anticoagulants (for example, Fentprokumon, Warfarin), the effect of the latter may be enhanced, due to the effects on the liver. If complex therapy is unavoidable, it is recommended that regular diagnostic blood tests be performed and the dosage of the drugs should be adjusted accordingly.
Storage conditions
Keep the drug out of the reach of children at a temperature of no higher than 25 degrees Celsius.
Shelf life - 2 years.
special instructions
When prescribing the drug to patients with diabetes it is worth considering that 1 capsule of Rezalut Pro contains less than 0.1 XE (Bread Unit).
Pharmaceutical preparation does not have any influence on the patient's ability to perform actions or work, which necessarily requires increased attention, precise coordination of movements and speed of psychomotor reactions, therefore it is allowed to drive a car or other complex mechanisms during the course of conservative therapy.
Analogs of Rezalut
Rezalut Pro - a drug whose constituent components are a natural part of the human body's metabolism, is easy to reproduce in the laboratory, so the drug analogues constitute a fairly wide range of drugs.
Of the whole range of pharmacological products, Esenthiale should be mentioned separately. This drug, which, thanks to extensive advertising, is probably the most popular in the Russian and Ukrainian market segments for strengthening the glandular organ. However, most of the forums on this topic are constantly asked the following question.
Which is better: Rezalut or Essentiale?
The answer does not lie on the surface, you should only study in more detail the pharmacokinetic abilities of both drugs. Phospholipids of Rezalut have a certain specificity of action, since the main working fraction is phosphatidylcholine. Its effects are aimed at restoring the cell membrane and improving the functioning of hepatocytes.
In Essential, the main active ingredient is the EPL-substance of phospholipids, which is a highly purified and enriched polyunsaturated fatty acid fraction. This allows the pharmaceutical preparation to act on intracellular structures (in particular on mitochondria), regulate metabolic processes and the reactions of oxidative phosphorylation. That is, these components in the physiological sense meet the needs of liver cells.
Summarizing all of the above, it can be concluded that Rezalut acts more specifically, exhibiting a maximum protective function with respect to the cellular structure of the glandular organ. And accordingly wins on such parameters of Rezalut. Indications for use, price and many other indicators - all give a few points ahead of Essentiale, of course, if the purpose of the therapeutic effect is precisely the strengthening of the cellular structure of the liver, rather than improving the intracellular functioning of hepatocytes.
Children
In pediatric practice, a pharmaceutical product can be used after 12 years.
With alcohol
Ethanol and the products of its metabolism are damaging factors in relation to hepatocytes, therefore one should completely abandon the use of alcoholic drinks during the course of conservative treatment, otherwise the desired therapeutic effect from the use of the pharmaceutical preparation will not be achieved (the phospholipids of Rezalut only stop the effect of alcohol production).
In pregnancy and lactation
Use of the drug Rezalut Pro is contraindicated during pregnancy, lactation and breastfeeding, since teratogenic effects of the constituent components of the drug are possible, but no reliable clinical studies of this issue have been conducted.
Reviews for Rezalut Pro
Reviews of the Rezalut at pharmaceutical forums characterize the drug on the positive side. People who used it notice a marked improvement in the state of health after a course of conservative therapy, since the natural excretion of toxic and harmful substances again corresponds to normal, thanks to the restoration of the physiology of the cellular structure of the liver.
Noticeable therapeutic effects and with hypercholesterolemia. Rezalut cleans the macro and microcirculatory bed from fat metabolism products, prevents the development of atherosclerosis of blood vessels, which allows to feed internal organs and systems with greater force. This is manifested in improving the color of the skin, restoring a healthy appetite, normalizing the work of all possible structures of the body and, of course, a good sense of self.
The doctors' comments on Rezalut confirm the strong therapeutic effect of the drug. According to qualified specialists, the drug should be used as often as possible, because its constituents are a natural part of the human body's metabolism, which manifests itself in a meager number of easily-coping side effects and undesirable effects of treatment. Also, doctors of therapeutic hospitals emphasize that the possibility of an overdose of a pharmaceutical preparation is extremely small, which allows for conservative sanitation in large doses and to shorten the duration of therapy as much as possible.
