Cyanocobalamin is a biologically active drug that has a hemopoietic, erythropoietic, metabolic and anti-anemic effect. Accelerates the processes of tissue healing, normalizes the work of the central nervous system and hematopoiesis system, improves the processes in the liver, enhances the activity of thromboplastics and prothrombin, activates the blood clotting process, reduces the amount of cholesterol in the blood.

Pharmacodynamics

Activates the exchange of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Forms an energy reserve in the body and actively participates in the process of transmission of nerve impulses. It is part of the phosphocreatine and promotes the accumulation of hemoglobin in erythrocytes. Stimulates the bone marrow (normoblastic erythropoiesis). This drug normalizes the liver, has a positive effect on the blood clotting system, in high doses increases the activity of prothrombin.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug is absorbed mainly in the thin (less in the thick) intestine, then through the receptor system is transported to the cell.     hepatitis and cirrhosis - 100 mcg per day for 30 days;

Overdose

Possible development: pulmonary edema, peripheral vascular thrombosis, urticaria, less often, anaphylactic shock.

Interaction

Cyanocobalamin is a vitamin that is incompatible with thiamine bromide, riboflavin and pyridoxine (in one syringe). At simultaneous appointment with antibiotics (kanamycin, polymyxins, neomycin and tetracyclines), the absorption of this drug is difficult. Do not take together with drugs that affect blood clotting.
