pharmachologic effect

Milgamma Compositum tablets are a complex of B vitamins. Active ingredients of the drug - benfotiamine and pyridoxine hydrochloride - facilitate the patient's condition in inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the nerves, as well as the motor apparatus. Milgamma in tablets activates the blood flow, contributes to the improvement of the functions of the nervous system.
Benzothiamine is a substance that plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates. Pyridoxine participates in the body in the metabolism of protein, it is partly involved in the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. Benfotiamin and pyridoxine in high doses act as an anesthetic due to the participation of benfotiamine in the synthesis of serotonin. There is also a regenerating effect: under the action of the drug, the myelin sheath of the nerves is restored.

Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics

Benzothiamine is a fat-soluble vitamin B1 derivative (thiamine). In the body, this substance is phosphorylated into thiamine diphosphate and thiamine triphosphate, which are biologically active coenzymes. The main part of benfotiamine is absorbed in the duodenum, the rest of it is in the small intestine.
Pyridoxine is processed into pyridoxal phosphate. This enzyme affects the non-oxidative metabolism of amino acids. It takes part in the production of physiologically active amines. It is mainly absorbed in the upper parts of the digestive tract during passive diffusion.
Both active substances are excreted mainly through the kidneys. The half-life of benfotiamine from the blood is 3.6 hours, the half-life of pyridoxine is 2-5 hours.
