Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The therapeutic effect of Relief ointment is provided by the active ingredients that make up it:
Shark liver oil - has a wound-healing effect, promotes rapid regeneration of cells damaged by the pathological process. It also reduces the severity of bleeding from damaged vessels and the severity of the inflammatory reaction.
Phenylephrine hydrochloride - this compound refers to alpha-adrenomimetics. It leads to a narrowing of the vessels in the area of application of the drug, due to which the severity of edema of the tissues decreases (it develops as a result of the release of blood plasma from the lumen of the vessels into the intercellular substance of the tissues), reduces the intensity of discomfort sensations in the form of itching during hemorrhoids.
Data on the pharmacokinetics (possible absorption into the systemic circulation, distribution in tissues, metabolism and excretion) of the active ingredients and excipients of the drug are not provided.
