Gynomax is available in suppository form for vaginal use. Suppositories are a solid substance of oblong shape with a pointed end on one side. Suppositories are packed in cell compartments in a carton pack of 7 pieces. The drug is sold complete with single-ended fingertips designed for easy insertion of suppositories into the vagina.
The main active ingredients of the drug are thioconazole 100 mg in 1 suppository and tinidazole 150 mg in 1 suppositories.

Pharmacological properties of the drug

Suppositories Gynomax contain 2 active active ingredients - thioconazole and tinidazole.
Thioconazole is a powerful antifungal agent of synthetic origin, which exhibits high therapeutic activity against yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida, gardrenella, as well as some types of gram-positive bacteria (staphylococcus, streptococcus, and others). The drug penetrates directly into the cells of pathogens and lesions, which prevents further progression of the infection.
Tinidazole, which is a part of suppositories, has a high therapeutic activity in relation to trichomonads, Giardia, cardrenella, clostridia, E. coli and other pathogenic pathogens.
With the introduction of suppositories into the vagina, the active active ingredients of the drug act locally, practically not falling into the general bloodstream.

Indications for use

Suppositories Gynomax prescribed to women for the treatment and prevention of the following conditions:
    Vaginitis;
    Colpit;
    Bacterial vaginosis;
    Recurrent vaginal candidiasis;
    As part of complex therapy for trichomoniasis and cardinellosis;
    Vulvovaginitis.

Contraindications for Gynomax

Suppositories Gynomax have a number of restrictions and contraindications to use, so before starting therapy it is important to consult with your doctor and carefully study the instructions for the drug. Gynomax is contraindicated in women with the following conditions:
    Individual intolerance of the components included in the preparation;
    Severe dysfunction of the blood, acute and chronic leukemia;
    Pregnancy in 1 trimester;
    Breastfeeding period;
    Period before sexual intercourse;
    Diseases of the nervous system.


Dosage and administration

Suppositories Gynomax are designed for vaginal use. According to the instructions, adult women for the treatment and prevention of gynecological infections are prescribed 1 suppositories of Gynomax 2 times a day for 3 days. If the clinical picture of the disease is mild or as maintenance therapy, the drug is shown in 1 suppositories 1 time a day before going to bed for 1 week.
To insert a candle into the vagina, a woman should take a comfortable position, put on a disposable fingertip in the medication kit and inject the drug as deeply as possible. After the introduction of suppositories, it is recommended to lie down for 30-40 minutes to evenly distribute the active components of the medicine.

Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation

The active components of the suppositories easily penetrate the placental barrier and into breast milk in lactating women. Since the effect of the drug on the fetus and the baby’s body during lactation is not fully understood, treatment with suppositories for Gynomax is not indicated for pregnant and lactating women.
